Yes, this. What is going in Japan? Japan was not abusers, since I hadn't any users from there, but scanning and probing for vulns! Huge amount of xss injection testing coming from JP. Is there a culture for cracking in Japan?

It always saddens me when people ruin it for others. Have a rigorous check in place before providing free hosting, and make sure you have the full and accurate information of the people who signup. Unless you are a legal entity, you will be the only person that might end up in trouble due to what others are hosting on your server/service etc.

Well, look at Cloudflare. Their clientele 95% is free users. But those 5% makes their entire business. For me, hm, maybe someday I will offer "upgrades". Maybe.

The service I remembered. Other services are gradually closing down:

Currently, the purpose for which shared servers are used in Japan is WordPress, Server companies are building paid plans targeting these people.
Developers use GitHub Pages, Vercel, etc. Also, they use Qiita and Zenn instead of blogging, and they also use SNS. These are free to use. So they are losing interest in shared servers.
