  • I used DO and Linode few years back they were not that good that time I faced routing issue, iops issue, uptime was okay almost 99% , might be they have improved now but I Like Vultr due to few factor good system , best uptime , free BGP service and now they don't charge for inbound traffic only charge for outbound traffic also give 2TB per month which is sufficient for me.
While DO and Linode still give 1TB per month and calculate both inbound and traffic.

Not closing down, they were purchased by Akamai and now half-branded as Akamai, everything else is staying the same (for now).

All three are pretty similar in many ways and it will probably come down to minor preferences that are important to you.

I like DO's provisioning and portal interface the best, but DO seems to have a slightly worse reputation for being too slow or less responsive to dealing with junk emitting from some their systems. Now that Linode is Akamai, there may be certain reasons to like or dislike them more for that reason. Vultr seems to be viewed more favorably in the low-end world. I've found some minor inconsistency or imperfections in their default OS templates, which suggests to me they aren't necessarily as polished as the others, but this is a relatively minor complaint.

Please , give a reason for the response. Thanks!

They are pretty inter-changeable for simple, general VM needs in EU/AP regions.

Hetzner cloud, been really stable for me personally. Never had any issues, except one when they didn't allow me to get more than 10 VMs running at the same time.

  • Felt compelled to clarify that Linode is not closing down. Linode is now part of Akamai. It is now Akamai, if anything this is good news!!! Akamai is a established and known business.
