WPVivid Backup Plugin is on sale (40% off Lifetime and Subscriptions) with code "202140off". Not really advertised on there website but I asked them via email if they are going to run a special deal and they sent me this.
It's also on https://lifetimo.com/deal/wpvivid-backup-plugin-pro-deal/ , so, perhaps, I just didn't see where they advertise their BF Discount.

On paper, it doesn't sound bad. Tried their free plugin sometimes and it did the job, too. Maybe I'll give this a shot :P
Automatic migration from free plugin transferred my website from website A to website B (domain and sub domain) without any problems or having to upload the backup on the destination website manually. Instead, you install the plugin on both sites and generate a key on target site which you paste in the plugin settings in the source site. Then you can just hit "Clone & Migrate".
I know you favour server/app backups rather than WP plugins, but due to recent events maybe something for you @bikegremlin ?

@vyas maybe also for you? :P

MS and @johnk were using WPVivid, right? What's your experience with it?

WPVivid is great. You may not even need the Paid version

    hahahahaHAHAHAHA - HA!

this year is tough though. most prices went up or at least the offers around them did not get better. so it's been time already to drop off unneeded stuff and only wait for the very few real things. one was 15€ year/KVM Frankfurt from @InceptionHosting and this @gleert reboot from last christmas now. I managed to even not buy netcup. I just don't need and their offers will come back anyway, so no real hurry, just fun watching.

Hosthatch is fine but I also cleaned up the ranks there and the new offers thankfully are more expensive - which is good, as I don't have to worry. only the 5TB storage is a gem, but I am settled with storage as well, so no buy as well.

the 10TB you mean? I was disappointed for a while that I did not grab something in UK back then. hopefully that won't happen if I let the 5TB slip now.
however I bought one of these cheap 4x2TB sys dedis a few weeks backs and still have plenty of room on a hetzner 3x3TB box... so I think I can live with it passing by ;-)
