Do you have any experiences with above.com for domain registration?

I have a few handfuls of .nl domains that are just worth transferring to them, it saves a few euro per domain per year, but things count up.

Their pricing is actually a few cents lower than their current listing at https://tldes.com/nl ; the other contenders are less than a euro difference and make not so much sense in the small number of domains I have.

My current registrar is a relatively local party, which I like to support, but their interface is not too convenient and well, there are savings to accrue.

I searched the forum, but 'above' is a a too generic term to get useful results.

I registered a .eu via Dynadot last week.

Now I got an email from eurid.eu, on the email address I use for Dynadot.

The email writes that my domain will be suspended if I don't register with Eurid, which requires upload of ID or other means of identification.

I have a handful of other .eu domains with other registrars, but never had this requirement.

Seeing the mail comes from Eurid, it seems legit enough, but I'm not very happy about either the requirement nor Dynadot leaking my email address.

Any idea whether it is something new?

These are:

• (must) support .tel and .net
• (must) host all types of dns records (not just the meager A/MX/TXT stuff)
• (must) automate DNSSEC signing
• (nice to have) based in the EU, not US
• (nice to have) inexpensive 'cause I'm Mr Cheapo

I'm looking to register some .tw and .it domains. I may transfer an existing .it as well.

tld-list.com suggests Dynadot and Regery for both of them among the best prices. Trying to do some form of consolidation while not yet having an account at either of them, is there a clear choice in favour of one over the other?

I went through https://lowendspirit.com/discussion/5818/yall-know-some-good-domain-registars/ which holds both of them in good regard.

I was wondering what would be the cheapest domain name that you can purchase, and then also renew at a low price. I know there are many who offer cheap price for the first year then renew at a much higher price. What are the options?

And for registering any domain say .com or .io, which domain registrar will offer the cheapest registration and renewal? The registrar does need to be reliable with good track record.

Is there a good time to purchase a domain like Black Friday?

I'm looking to register a .se-domain, at a "competetive" price and preferably payable in Euros via IBAN transfer. Paypal and other currency are an option, but less attractive. I don't have a credit card.

https://www.svenskadomaner.se/en/ was the cheapest I found so far, at 230 kr. That is about 20 euro, before currency exchange and transfer costs.

Anyone with experience or suggestions?

That's seem to be end of Epik.com as domain registrar who is already facing law suits.

Also, Epik agrees to be sold to some buyer!
Deal would pay off debt to many domain registries, and the new entity might be able to pay back customers.

I've moved my remaining domains from Epik to various other registrars.
If you've not transferred-out your domains from Epik, this upto June, 22nd is the last chance!
