I’m opening this thread to document an ongoing issue with the VirMach affiliate program after attempting to resolve it both privately and publicly.

I have been promoting VirMach for several years and currently have an affiliate balance of $143.85 USD, marked as available for withdrawal in the system. However, no affiliate commission has ever been successfully paid out since 2022.

Over a long period of time, I have submitted withdrawal requests and opened multiple support tickets. Unfortunately, these tickets are consistently left unanswered for weeks and eventually closed or ignored.

I also attempted to raise this issue in the community, but no official response from VirMach has been provided so far, which is why I’m now opening a dedicated thread.

Account details:
• Affiliate ID: 9729
• Latest Ticket ID: #495930
• Ticket Status: Open (no response)

I have fully complied with the affiliate Terms of Service, and all referrals are legitimate. I am not making accusations — I am simply requesting a clear response and resolution regarding the unpaid affiliate balance.

If any VirMach staff or administrators are active here, I would appreciate your assistance. I’m also interested to hear from other affiliates who may be experiencing similar issues.

This time we're finally early for Black Friday, with a brand new flash deal system. Either participate early, or wait until Black Friday & check back if you want a much smoother experience. The beta test will be exclusive to LES members only (although at our discretion, not strictly enforced) If you do decide to participate early, please pay attention to the list of disclaimers under the "Beta Test - Disclaimers" section below.

Flash sales this year will be sold under the VPSBlackFriday sub-brand. Your account may later be moved to this brand in the future, if you do not have any other active VirMach services.

Flash Deals

Click here to view the current offers.

There will be three flash deals presented. The timers and quantities on the flash deals are independent. Every 15 to 30 minutes, the plans may change pricing. Your offer will be locked in at the price it was originally purchased, whether or not it later increases or reduces in price. You should always complete orders within five minutes of clicking to order. Please check the FAQ section on the website for more details.

Storage Deals

We have some extra space left over on our storage nodes. Please note, our AUP will be STRICTLY enforced at these discounted prices. This means zero tolerance on mass file sharing, disk abuse, or network abuse. Tokyo location has an additional fee on top of advertised prices below.

Beta Test - Disclaimers (Before Nov. 29th)

If you participate in the sale before Friday, November 29, 2024 (12:01AM PST) you will be considered a public beta tester. If you're here in the future, you can safely ignore these details. Please consider all of the following very carefully before participating in the beta test.

REQUIRED PARTICIPATION

You will be required to participate in this thread, for any support questions and issues.

You will be expected to follow any important updates posted here relating to the flash sale.

Although optional, we recommend discussing any bugs, errors, or issues you face.

DISCOUNT & LIMITATIONS

For participating in the beta, you may receive an additional discount in the form of a code.

You will receive a coupon in this thread. Coupons rotate. One-time, counting towards first months free.

Beta coupons are limited in quantity per batch released. It's your decision to order without one.

For the period that equals the discount received, service will have 0% SLA and no support.

It is your responsibility to apply the coupon. It cannot and will not be applied retroactively.

LIMITED BUG SUPPORT & OTHER IMPORTANT STIPULATIONS

By participating in this beta test, you understand that your service may be affected by a bug.

We will be making active system updates which may have unintended consequences.

There may not be any backward compatibility for these fixes, especially if they are rare.

You may have to pay attention to this thread for any work-arounds for any serious bugs.

Activations will take longer during the first few days of the sale on certain nodes that are not ready.

If we lose tracking of your service, it may be cancelled and refunded instead of activated.

Your service may be migrated, rebooted, or have the IP address changed without notice.

We recommend backing up important files for at least the first 2 weeks.

During the beta test, we are more likely to cancel any plans for any reason, even after activation, especially if the system made an error. Check the thread for related updates and announcement for terminations. We highly recommend not participating in the beta test if this could be upsetting.

Hello all,

i have several VPS with VirMach since years, all running Alpine Linux i've installed from netboot.xyz (network install). They are all running smooth since a while but there is one i've never been able to install. It's been a while, as i was "well just let it on the side for now eventually VirMach may have an issue they will fix" but after months i'm not able to install my server. I'm pretty sure anyway there is a workaround without involving my provider so i wanted to ask the community here first.

This VPS is able to run with they're premade setup (i've tried Ubuntu, works).
Again i already have several VPS with the same provider, all on Alpine Linux, same setup used. The difference between them is the node where they are hosted, as i often jump on new discounts they have (this one is a BF-2021 special, i have 4 VPS from this offer, 3 are working with Alpine).

Please see following screenshot to view my issue:

Thank you so much for sharing your time helping to debug .

I think there may be enough to say about virmach to warrant a thread unto itself - so may as well start this one right here right now

(Following some recent discussion in another thread here)

For now I'll just summarize my assessment from last couple years in a few of their USA locations: solid systems, great uptime, modest specs, okay-ish network (depending on what you need it for - it is colocrossing after all) ... Also reasonable to deal with in terms of support.

So all things considered I've been pleasantly surprised. I'm guessing that the CPU limits (etc) are actually fine for some medium-load webserver duty (such as this forum) - but probably less so for more sustained usage patterns such as transcoding.

tl;dr: could be a good option for many but not all lowend applications - and proven to be worthy of consideration (in my own limited experience at least).

Questions, suggestions, critical comments, horror stories, and/or kudos and benchmarks welcome.

Also feel free to mention any good alternatives in the general price range
