At that price point, I'd probably shell out some extra euros to get a cheap nat vps for like 5€/yr and host my own. Nothing against the offer, but if I only needed one location, I'd probably host my own. That's just me, though. I'm sure it can work …

Check out Pico strap theme with live canvas plugin. It's really fast. I've heard good things about Generate Press, too :)

(Quote) Similarly, I don't need super high speeds. While I get around 250 Mbit/s max, basically any VPN that gets around 50 Mbit/s is fine for me as I only use it for browsing/streaming unblock.

(Quote) Thanks for clarifying, didn't know that.

(Quote) As per my previous comment, I have more or less stopped using them due to possibly dubious owner. That said, it has always performed quite decent for me. More or less like Ivacy most of the time.

(Quote) Haven't. Surely, it's great for privacy, but all I basically use my vpns for is streaming, geo-blocking and in public wifi, so I really couldn't justify paying a recurring fee with the lifetime vpns I have already ticking those boxes :)

(Image) (Quote) I used the App for Wireguard. I don't use FastestVPN apps anymore atm due to some LE members reporting rather negative stories about the owner (dubious/possibly criminal background).

Always happy with Ivacy and Keepsolid :) Can recommend them both. Ivacy I had to contact after 5 years to renew "lifetime" sub. So be aware, that it may end some day if they choose not to renew. That said, the 40$ are a great price even if…

(Quote) Isn't OpenPanel that super-new, still in beta project, that people were having trouble with even to install? I'm not saying it's a bad project, it's just still under development and the features they announce show promise. However, comparing…

Just setup my username the other day :)

(Quote) And here I thought, I was your #1

(Quote) Thanks! So as long as I install it on my vps now and note down server hostname and ip, you will know in the future that I am eligible for a free license?
-
(Quote) Thanks for explaining. So in order to use OpenPanel and get a license should we now reach out via the contact button on https://openpanel.co/beta or simply run the install script from https://openpanel.co/docs/admin/intro/#requirements ?
-
(Quote) Ah yeah, it would definitely depend on whether the license will be transferable to other vps in the future, as I probably won't leave it installed on/keep one vps forever (although I have 2 lifetime vps with ZAP lol) :D Also it seems Open …

(Quote) Thanks for the tag! You know how to get me hooked :P Need to grab this lifetime license haha :D Thanks for sharing @Amadex @PCx3 So, to get the free lifetime license all we have to do is install/use OpenPanel (at least) once during beta ph…

(Quote) Yup, I don't have shell access to wp cli import the media, but the client might have shell access (just not using it). I'll inquire about this. Regarding compressing the video clip, that might actually be a good idea. I won't host it on my (…

(Quote) Might be an idea, but probably not worth the effort for the 2 videos on the site. Occasionally there will be a new video, but not that many. (Quote) Will check it out, thanks! (Quote) Thanks for the suggestion mate :) It's only 2 videos so…

LinkedIn, Xing, etc might help you finding a job. You can also quite easily setup a CV there. Recommendations, of course, can go a long way, too.

(Quote) Personally, I lack the technical knowledge to verify Signals e2e claims. But it being open source at least bears the possibility of more knowledgeable people than me verifying those claims, which in the end makes it a tad better than WhatsAp…

(Quote) Fair enough. I totally agree that the license's pricing is more than fair, but as a student, I'm not gonna hand out free licenses. That's why Signal is my best bet atm. I actually DO know lots of my friends that have setup Telegram and, cont…
-
(Quote) Well, yeah. Their argument to install Signal ofc wouldn't be intrinsic motivation but just because some friend (me) tells them to use an alternative for some techy and privacy reasons they don't want to or can't follow. It's a bit like Dale …

(Quote) It's hard enough to bring (non techy) friends to switch away from WhatsApp or at least use an alternative messenger as is. Threema being a paid messenger app, even if only 6€, isn't something they're going to consider after using WhatsApp, f…
