hetzner fi and privatelayer ch ips in glass of look
unm 1g FUP 15tb/m
really??
1-10 IPv6 addresses (not even a /64)
Check our KVM VPS plans in 🇵🇱 Warsaw, Poland and 🇸🇪 Stockholm, Sweden
Just wanted to touch on this, All dedicated servers both Finland and Switzerland come with a /64, the Finland side for IPv6 is /80 per VM, regarding Switzerland, the 1-10, this is definitely being looked into on the Switzerland side but all in all, we can grant enough IP's if someone contacts Support and states I need X IP's it can be granted, but the way Switzerland is setup its in the /128s for VM's but for Dedicated servers they all comes with /64
Leased, Hetzner FI and PrivateLayer CH, but Hetzner is being phased out, migrations are being planned to a different datacenter, owned hardware, leased IP space but it wont be Hetzner.
Leased FI/CH
Finland, routed
Switzerland, bridged shared L2
Finland, Hetzner (This will soon be changed) - Helsinki
Switzerland, PrivateLayer - Zurich
Pretty sure Hetzner has a decent fire suppression system, same goes for PrivateLayer but unfortunately I am not on the ground inside there to verify the existance of the red fire extinguisher.
I find this amusing, pretty sure they have dragons and a draw bridge.
Not applicable.
Available on website for both locations
Can be arranged specifically through a support ticket, for VPS we can definitely knock the IPv4 off the price and hand you an IPv6-only box.
Yes. On the routed Finland node each customer already has a /80, and we can route an additional /80 slice if needed. On the bridged Switzerland host it's a /128 per assignment, with extra /128s available on request.
Licensed, got to stay up to date
no dice will we run an out-dated nulled WHMCS billing panel.
Accessible via WHMCS client area, console, start, stop, reboot, rebuild, change pw etc, everything needed
At this time, no, especially with Hetzner way of networking. (We're in the midst of changing our Finland location, no ETA yet).
Network's comparable across both locations, near line-rate to EU.
Switzerland is on SATA SSD. (CH Will receive refreshed storage to NVMe in due time).
Finland on NVMe. To avoid cluttering this reply
https://pastebin.com/iMyYzQCe <- the Iperf test.
Burstable vCPU allocation allowed, traffic spikes and random batch jobs but a sustained 100% on all cores 24/7 is not allowed, full FairUse policy is available on our website packetra.com/aup#fairuse
You can do a full speedtest, a benchmark, it is what unmetered allows just not 24/7 saturation, it is a shared uplink after all. The fairuse mentions 15TB per month or less but it also states this is just a guideline, not a strict cap. Some months could be busier than others for anyone, it's all in the fairuse part of the AUP.
Yes, by default port 25 remains blocked but as the Terms suggest, certain level of VPS are allowed to be opened, or those with WHM/cPanel or longer billing cycle, this can be found in our packetra.com/terms
Switzerland: yes. Finland: no at the moment, the current upstream acts on DMCA. That's one of the things the Finland move we're looking into will address.
No, we do not need Customer ID, we however ask that our customers signup with Email that isn't throw-away so they can at least receive important emails such as invoices, overdue messages and or a announcement should there be one that may be applicable. Throw-away emails aren't disallowed but using them you run the risk yourself not getting an important information and that is not the fault of the provider.
No, If you mean moving your services from one account to another, WHMCS has a built in quick transfer, no charges apply for that. We will require some verification on both ends before a service is moved between billing accounts but nothing else.
Any other questions regarding Terms, AUP, Privacy policy and or Speed/Networking can all be answered on https://packetra.com, we list everything there that truly matters, all policies and conditions for each location.
Thanks for addressing some of this, I think it's a checklist default he's not spending time checking the website or anything related, just copy paste his checklist and expects answers. I have answered most of this, to the best of my ability, but I do thank you for taking your time to address a few of them

Soon there will be more providers than customers
apt mooAnd then there will be more customers, you have to build the shop first

Exactly! Why would there be more customers BEFORE there are more providers on a hosting forum? You don't go to the market and complain there are too many shops to buy from, right?
He just says what he thinks.... Haha

That depends on the aggressiveness of the sales tactics and whether there's female companion. Hufffftt. Can you imagine going around the mall for the entirety of day?
Its summer season, you know. Stay safe.
Quote from summer has arrived announcement:
Signs a Host Will Deadpool Before End of Summer
You can spot an unstable host early by asking the right technical and operational questions.
Watch out for these major red flags when looking at the dealz:
They rent everything and own nothing: they will vanish when their hardware and IPv4 space bills come due.
They charge a massive fee to buy a single extra IPv4: they have a limited network and cannot scale their operations.
They completely ban custom ISOs on KVM plans: they are over-allocating their nodes and hiding a broken control panel.
They do not list a real data center name or address: your data is probably located in a basement guarded by two very scary dogs.
They lack a clear policy on persistent CPU and port blasting: neighbors will crash the infrastructure by July.
They refuse to publish YABS benchmark data: they are hiding weak hardware that will melt under summer heat.

That's perfectly fine. It's progress, and it has to start somewhere. The other forum charges providers to advertise, while this one doesn't. Yet they still have far more providers there than we do here. So having more providers than customers right now, is a good start.
Eyes in the dark
Unfortunately yes... Just last week I went to Johor (Malaysia) for a shopping trip and walked around the malls for the entire day. About 9km walked according to my watch's step counter. I got blisters from that!!!
Why would the provider vanish, I know several that started out by leasing, you build it slowly, you start at square one, and you slowly build it from there, I know several in this business who have done that successfully.
That is correct, except we're investing early in the hardware directly and colocating it to a new datacenter in Finland, we're exiting Hetzner as I mentioned, the lease of the IPv4 will remain for a while, the ultimate plan obviously is purchasing our own and becoming a RIPE member in the future but not yet.
Yes, this is a clear sign the provider will vanish, the €5 for an extra IPv4, clearly, you know what, FlokiNet is about to close shop by your logic I guess? I mean €5.00 extra for an IP on a €7.99 plan in Romania, they are dead in the waters by your logic. Running for the hills right after the summer.
Not at all, we're not banning it, I just said that at this time, ISO uploading is not possible but contacting customer support to upload an ISO is definitely possible, but out of the box the client side of things doesn't provide that, This is nothing that is set in stone.
Okay so you are LES's troll right?
Not at all, we're building our AUP, it has a clear enough policy about what the use is for now, we'll definitely let you know if we need to set an exact expectation for every single hardware limitation within your VM when we cross that bridge by changing the AUP. No tenant will get to hog the host resources and crash the infrastructure by July.
I gave you the networking, I didn't refuse to publish the YABS, I was quite up front telling you that the Switzerland disk/write is on a Sata SSD which will be refreshed soon, whilst the Finland is on the right track.
Have a wonderful day yoursunny, you are a peach
Anyway, I look forward to the offer posts.

Yes.
Our troll tag is more exclusive than the provider tag.
We prefer the 🥭, which is the official currency of yoursunny summer host Inc.
We look forward to your summer offers, especially these locations:

Hetzner, ok, not a good decision right now.
