(removed) Chicago Emergency Maintenance
(removed) blablablabla
and it's gone.
Fixed?
My Chicago VPS went down about an hour ago. Not seeing any maintenance notes. Statusbot shows last update was 55 minutes ago for CHI001, CHI002, and CHI004. Can't load the control panel. Maybe the emergency maintenance was deferred from yesterday to now?

^ Yup. Total PITA. Had to revert the client site to my replacement server and less importantly that's me also down on one nameserver. I'm starting to lose patience now.
Unrelated badly timed unlucky network outage (out of our control.) I was at the Miami datacenter at the time and couldn’t reliably provide an update but communicated with them to confirm they were handling the issue.
Any further maintenance will be held off as mentioned until it’s communicated beforehand unless some other new event forces it in some weird way.
Chicago move went horrendously. From the flights, communication at both facilities, with the networking team, with the rental car, TSA, everything. Just awful, unlucky, exhausting. Miami looks like it was some power related event that I haven't yet confirmed that just happened to take place as conveniently timed as the outage in Chicago while I was in Miami, just in reverse and also worse in every way. Just a terrible week, glad to be home.
Finishing cleaning everything else up for the rest of the week and awaiting the next series of unfortunate events. Assuming we're left alone for the remaining 2 weeks in the month, and this is a huge assumption, I'm pretty confident by August 1st we'll be caught up with all tickets, any outstanding catastrophic failures, and in tip-top shape. Three big things that stand out are TPAZ005, shared hosting, and handling/crediting any other awful experiences on my list. Next big series of events after that is just organizing everything better, chucking anything that could give us problems in the near future, and finishing deployment of our new systems to make any repeat of the last two years much smoother for everyone.
Reading between the lines suggests that more activity is likely to happen on CHI servers and that I shouldn't be hasty in returning the client site to the VPS there. :-/

Virmach has been in trouble with two years to repair all kinds of problem and lost customers.
Virmach should drop all the cheap machine and buy some good dedicated server.

Looking forward to the epic story about how the entire SJC data center was taken over by terrorists and @VirMach had to hire the A-Team to take them down and restore access.
Edit: On an unrelated note, my Tokyo server had about 1hr 25mins downtime this morning.
@VirMach - May I kindly ask you to have a look at ticket 688181 with regards to service not working? Service won't boot no matter what I do. I can't reinstall the operating system either.

Anyone interested in a VPS in Miami? Specs in YABS:
When is San Jose server migration over?
Virmach has been in trouble with two years to repair all kinds of problem and lost customers.
Virmach should drop all the cheap machine and buy some good dedicated server.
Oops. Think I caused the SJC host to go offline.
Forgot to mention:
Bandwidth: 2000GB/month
Price: $25.80/year
is everything getting better?
I bench YABS 24/7/365 unless it's a leap year.
Anyone else in Tokyo down? My server on TYOC039 seems down and I can't load the controls. The node seems up according to https://status.virm.ac/?s=62427ccd023dbc3d306dd6a5
Network related. Seems to work from some parts of Asia.

Me too. I hope it won't be down for too long

Troubleshooter says node is down.
status.virm.ac is recently updated.
Me problem or virmach problem?
I can ping the network gateway.
Nothing is your problem.
What problem? All you said was you can ping the gateway. Sounds fine to me.
Yeah, VPS is no boot. VNC says
And Troubleshooter says
My bad. Gateway is not necessarily on the node. I was pinging externally.
