    Perhaps this has already been asked and answered, but if I may ask, I imagine that the email infrastructure of the web hosting packages differs from that of the email hosting packages: is this correct?

    If you buy a web hosting package, your email will be through NameCrane's internal relays.
    If you buy an email hosting package, it will be through MXroute's.

    What is different this time, compared to your former endeavours and brands, that assures your clients to not be sold in a year or two?

    The honest answer is: intense regret.

    In my opinion, I had to step down from Ho-ost as it wasn't all under my ownership.

    That was not the case with SmallWeb, and I often wish things were handled differently. All I really needed to do was a) scale down to something more manageable for 1 person to handle or b) hire somebody else to help.

    I have not sold any other brand, and the two I closed last year were just consolidations. Third time lucky?

    My honest thoughts:

    Michael has the best of intentions. He’s one of the few people I wish I could kick up the arse and push in the right direction from time to time! The rebrands… probably ill-advised given the history, which is a fair point but I don’t think you’ll find someone who tries as hard as Michael does to do the right thing in the moment for his clients. I would hope he’s learned a lot over the years!

    I’m biased as I like the guy,I won’t hide that but I don’t think he’ll make the same mistakes twice.

    My opportunity to tease him:

    It’s 2024. If he decides to identify as a big red dragon, then we must respect that!
