[Transfer] GreenCloud Epyc DE 1010 Birthday 5c/10G/100G/10TB

Cleanup after BF and I simply got too many larger boxes in Frankfurt already.
So here is the chance for those who missed out and are looking for something rare+cheap ;-)

I have a VM from the 10th Birthday sale of GreenCloudVPS with the following specs:

10240MB RAM
5 cores
100GB NVMe RAID-1
IPv4: 1 , IPv6: /112
Network: 10Gbps / Up to 100Gbps DDoS protection
10TB Bandwidth
Location: Frankfurt, DE

Recurring Amount: $100.00 USD
Billing Cycle: Triennially
Next Due Date: 16th October 2026

Close to two years left and a location that's not available for a long time in their sales ;-)
Not looking for any profit, just recover the cost, so this can go for 60€ including the transfer fee.
Paypal FF or SEPA wiretransfer.

obligatory yabs:

yes indeed, for roughly $3 per month it is a lot of performance and ressources. that's why I put it up here, would be a shame to let it go to waste...

    I would like this one, @Falzo – if it's been stable :)
(Never tried GreenCloud before, will they transfer?) :)

It's stable. They plan to migrate .DE to xTom DC if memory serves me correctly.

  • It's a good VPS. Good price too.

I'm interested, but sadly I'm broke after BF and CM. Can't match the price.

  • interested

    windows allowed?

    Needs more diks

@flips has first dips on it. I will follow up tomorrow with @NDTN if transfers are possible to new registered accounts.

I did some transfer before and everything went smooth, so don't think it'll be a problem.

However if it falls through, your second in line @lapua , if still interested. I never tried running windows on it, the few default templates in the client area do not have it, but I did not check the controlpanel yet. I think there is some SolusVM there.

Never really needed it, but can check tomorrow as well.

I have their 11gb deal. Very good deal. You all should get this if you want something. Better than most Black Friday and cyber Monday deals IMHO.

I am using to host node CMS and more. Great performance.

I just checked and in SolusVM besides the same templates (no windows) there are only a few ISO images available for mounting, which also do not include any windows. as I never needed windows, I sadly cannot tell, if they are willing to help out with a custom iso or the likes. maybe the larger topics on OGF contain some information about it, not sure...

edit: they don't allow Windows on their regular KVM plans

We do not allow installing Windows on our KVM VPS as an SPLA partner, we will need to report to Microsoft every case of customers using their own license - it''s not possible for now to do that. Another reason is that running Windows on KVM VPS normally consumes a lot of CPU and might affect other customers on the same node. You are welcome to install Linux GUI if you need desktop experience.

successfully transferred to @flips - thanks for the easy handling.

The routing now seems excellent from my location. With my other VPSes in FRA, I have ~50 ms latency. This one has ~40 ms. Hope xTom will have great latency as well. :) I have only good experiences with xTom DC's in other locations, IIRC :D

  • xTom indeed serves best connectivity compared others in DE.

right now they are in 23media. same as clouvider uses (or used). not sure where xTom is located.
I found 23M always to be the best in FFM in terms of speed and latency... used those almost exclusively for VPNs

Good to see smooth xfers, but they re boring if there is no drama.

Congratulations guys for keeping things boring !
