I have yet to find low-end hosting in my home country, Japan. So I’ll stick with Tokyo. Most providers that I’ve seen here are either unreliable, expensive, never heard of or require a legal contract.
You may joke about space, but that's a real thing that's happened. If Microsoft, HPE, and NASA can get a internet connected computer in space, it should totally be possible to get a low end orbital VPS.

It's about $0,33M to get a cubesat up to a low orbit.
If we can get a WiFi extender installed on it and pack it with 5x RPi 16MB and share the costs as prepaid option during the next BF-frenzy, we may have our LOSLES VPS by this time next year!
