As of right now, logging in every 60 days, is sufficient to keep everything active.
However, despite that, it seems like we still have too many idle containers.
In about a week, a different policy is gonna be in affect
Which also is gonna require at least 1GB of traffic (inbound + outbound) per month, per container.
For testing reasons, the limit is set as low as possible.
If only one of the requirements in meet, the container will not be extended.
(ignore me, just setting up an account to play with)
It’s OK if you disagree with me. I can’t force you to be right!

Please access the instance to check. Since it's a LXC container, it should be easy to access through the node. And yes, feel free to look around the /root/script/ folder.
And before you ask, yes, I got nothing better to do on Sundays

Since you just got a server, get self hosted bitwarden or vaultwarden. You can easily deploy it via docker. It has android/ios app as well as firefox/chorme app.

Melbourne will be offline for about 5 minutes tomorrow, I have to resize the disk, we got more storage.
After this, we can fit a bunch more containers on this Node.
I will do this Tomorrow at about 02:00 CET, expect 5-10 minutes of downtime

Is there some issue with Aukland LXC server manager? I dont see any downtime...
Still can ssh into the instance, so probably only the management interface issue.

Also, a new Maintenance info.
On 16 May 2025 at 09:00 AM (Bucharest time), we will be performing CPU and node upgrades at our Oradea location. This maintenance will be carried out in two phases.
For us interesting would be Phase 2.
Phase 2: Customers on Xeon Scalable Gen 1 nodes will receive both security patches and a CPU upgrade. This process also requires a reboot, and the estimated downtime is ~60 minutes per node.
@Neoon Terminated one of the LXC containers, but it is still showing up in my account, even though it clearly got deleted from the node....

Yes but there was an error, hence your entry wasn't deleted automatically.
If so, new deployments would run into errors.
Chile is going to be offline for about 14 hours on the 19th of July.
Starting from 08:00 AM GMT -4
While this may be disruptive in the short term, it will bring long-term benefits including improved latency and reachability within the Latin American region. Additionally, it will allow us to offer new networking features such as downstream BGP sessions to clients.
Fedora 39 (KVM) and CentOS Stream has been removed, since nobody was using it.
Additionally, new Alpine versions have been added.
Alpine is fun! I was using it on a 64 MB RAM LXC VPS for a while. Was fun while it lasted. Not of much use, but still fin to use none the less!

I have to reboot Bratislava and Meppel on Monday, at around 22:00 CET, this should not take more than a few minutes.
The kernel on these systems is older than one year, hence the livepatch coverage will end soon, so a reboot is needed.
Maintenance announcement
Gonna upgrade the backend to a new debian release, on Sunday, at around 22:00 CET, the panel will be unavailable for about 30 minutes, tops.
