did you enable send from catch-all in eM Client?

  • @jmaxwell said: Thanks, that makes sense. Are there any email clients that help to generate aliases on the go?

what I use is a self hosted version of addy.io for a domain that I use for aliases only, there is a browser extension that can automatically create aliases for sites and keeps note on what site it is used for etc, there is even a BitWarden link for it to generate a new email for sites when you make accounts.

then I use namecrane as the stmp relay for this alias service that then gets sent to another domain hosted on namecrane where all my emails get stored.

addy.io will automatically hide you main email address when replying to emails etc

Thanks, that makes sense. Are there any email clients that help to generate aliases on the go? Manageable from webmail with a few clicks, but it would be good to have such a feature. I tried eM Client on iOS, and it has a create alias option, but it seems to create only locally, and sending or receiving doesn’t work.

I had to create my own script that takes inputs from my Telegram bot and passes it to my Virtualmin website panel to create/list/delete aliases for my domains. It's easy to do on cPanel as well using a simple script, but I am not aware of any client that is able to do it since it needs to be done from the backend by editing the server's main processor...

Never make the same mistake twice. There are so many new ones to make.
It’s OK if you disagree with me. I can’t force you to be right.

Some improvements went out tonight :)

Mobile ActiveSync now supports 2FA, just use your IMAP or MAPI/EWS password! we've also enabled Calendar & Contact syncing. iPhone users will need to go to Settings > Accounts, click your Exchange account, and enable Contacts and Calendars in the sync list. Remote Global Address List searching will be implemented once Smartermail adds backend support.

    Enjoy!

@NameCrane and @Francisco - is it possible to add proper IPv6 with your hosting plans? Right now a /128 needs to be asked from support, and that works on just 1 domain from the shared hosting plans. If other domains are added, those websites display the content of that one domain instead (just over IPv6).

Maybe you could configure for hosting plans something like a /64 for each customer, and each website gets a /128 from that /64 - just a thought. Right now /128 creates more problems with its improper implementation.

Please stop the planet! I wish to get off!

Each DA shared gets a dedicated v6. A reseller gets a single v6 to share with all users but can ask for more in ticket.

On cpanel each user gets their own v6, no sharing anywhere.

It’s all about how each panel handles v6.

Yeah, but that v6 works on just one domain in DA. Even in the panel on DNS settings it is showed for just 1 domain. So if that v6 is configured for other domains, the website of that one domain is showed across other domains too (instead of each proper domain's website). This behaviour would be nice, if every domain would get a different /128.

So it does not work with 1 /128 and it does not configure different /128 either.

If you need my customer ID or something, I can provide it to have a look. But my guess is you can reproduce it. Server is Las Vegas shared 02 - if it helps.
