Let me start by quoting my rant from October 2025:
So, at this time, MDDHosting is the only support that understands the provided info, even if a problem can’t be solved. No running in circles and providing the same info over-and-over again, only to get the same canned responses from a different support person (or a robot – you can’t know today). Sigh. The spirit of the times.
All else – from my ISP & phone company, to the storage and hosting providers – it is so frustrating and time wasting. And I’m fine with stating: “nope, we won’t deal with this, outside of our scope.” That’s fair.
…OK, to correct myself: MXroute is good in these terms too. So, that makes two. LOL.
Regarding those other providers, I've heard nothing but praise for KnownHost, they are on my shortlist so to speak, but while my current setup is working fine, I see no point in spending time and energy to test them.

I've been with HawkHost since 2009.
Can recommend them for sure. If you need a shared hosting for some serious production website, they're no less than a very good fit. Compared to most low-end providers, they're an excellent one.
Very stable.
Wait till the BF, then check their blog — they offer good recurring discounts (coupons) each year.

Years ago I've also seen very good reviews for MDDhosting. But they're more expensive than Hawk Host, so I decided to go with the latter.
I had some dedicated servers with @ShockHosting for 3 years. Cheap, good, no network issues, and I don’t remember ever opening a ticket for technical support. The control panel was fully featured and good-looking. Everything seems automated, so if you need something custom, it’s going to be expensive.
I have a dedicated server with @ShockHosting and the only ticket I have with them is to cancel a "Add account funds" invoice I created by mistake. Zero downtime, zero network issues, IPv4 + IPv6, low ping time, all good.
