Sorry i didn't see the black friday megathread. But i see quite a few offer for black friday from other providers as well. Doesn't seem that it is not allowed ?

A few suggestions to improve this aspect in no particular order.
Remove any external dependency on your page, namely:

    • Get ride of Cloudflare + Cloudflareinsights
    • Get ride of Woocommerce Analytics / stats.wp.com
    • Do not load content from Truspilot without asking / get ride of it

If you want to minimize customer data / get in line with your competition, get ride of Umami too?

Plus points for offering Matrix as a contact method, instead of comparable centralized services.
Besides that, your offer looks nice. GLWS!

    Hello,

Thank you for the suggestion. Which content do we load from Trustpilot ? What is shown on the website is just an image.
Umami is a privacy focused analytic solution that we self-host.

Regarding Cloudflare, we are currently looking at alternatives. However we need to strive a balance and make sure that we are able to protect our infrastructure from bad actor and not just be under constant DDoS.

At the moment this is a choice we are not happy to make but have to.

There is a js script loaded from widget.trustpilot.com, line 8 of your index page ;)
Yeah, Umami is probably as good as it gets if you don't want to run without analytics at all.

Understood, thanks for giving your reasoning. Didn't expect you to have such issues with incoming DDoS.

Maybe something like a PoW based L7 filter and a provider with protection against volumetric attacks could replace that - you seem to offer DDoS protection too.

Well, Cloudflare is not as big of an issue for the sensitive audience currently I'd say, given you offer an onion page too. =)

Thanks for the widget, we'll check. It is odd because we're not using the widget anymore.

Regarding cloudflare, it's a "better safe than sorry" approach at the moment to

    1. Hide the ip addresses of our websites to reduce the attack surface
    2. Provide WAF capabilities and DDoS protection

We also don't want to host our websites on our own infrastructure to make sure it is still online in case we have an outage.

But as I wrote earlier we are currently checking alternative solutions like bunker Web, so hopefully we'll be more independant soon.

The most important for us is to provide a reliable service, and trying to improve it step by step :)

Allow me a question regarding the actual offer - the benchmarks on LET indicate, your NL 1G and unmetered 1G VPS are on 10G ports and incoming bandwidth is not limited to 1G?

Also, the US 10G vps in your OP state 1gb/s in their description.

  • Any ipv6 access?

Can you point out where do you see this information ?
Our USA are 10Gbps as shown in this page : https://servers.guru/usa-vps/

For the 1Gps Netherlands, where do you see the benchmark ?

    Not yet :(

@benz Regarding the trustpilot javascript call. It should be fixed.
