    Aah. Thank you.

Can you consider provideing "vanilla IPv4 NAT" (like how most other providers do)? It is still quite painful to have to deal with complete lack of IPv4 (not withstanding the NAT IPv6-IPv4 service that you provide for outbound connectivity).

It just makes life a LOT easier all around.

I'm also curious on why you don't do regular IPv4 NAT? Surely it's not cost (it's just one or a few IPv4s anyway and I suppose it will also reduce support headaches since people are used to it)? Your offers are otherwise great.

Regarding our own message of before, some interesting news here.

Despite VirtFusion not having any predicted module for WiseCP, it is not being a problem: we're now being perfectly able to develop a custom module in-house for the WiseCP billing system.

At the present status, the module already deploys and cancels a VPS, makes some of the usual communications to it, and also grants semi-direct access to the VirtFusion (solely needing a password reset upon 1st access). Some features are still being ironed out, others being added (like multi-disk VPSes being fully directly provisioned through their API, instead of manually, as they are today at Solus), and it's not yet "ready for consumption", but it is progressing very steadily.

When I say very steadily, I mean like "I went from nearly not registering a management node at WiseCP to working with it perfectly in ~24h".

As you may know, this effectively sorts out the NAT question once and for all - VirtFusion has very nice NAT IPv4, and this also handles a minor networking specific to OVS we've seen with growth, as VirtFusion uses a different network stack based on Macvlan. It's a very powerful hypervisor indeed, full of options, though twice as expensive.

It will not be technically possible to handle NAT configurations directly at the Client Area due to API limitations on VirtFusion's end at this time, users will need to login to the Control Panel at the very least. That NAT will be handled either by our in-house socat solution, but powered direct v4-to-v4 for convenience and not v4-to-v6, or through VirtFusion's own predicted NAT tools (or both), strictly depending on what provides the highest levels of network performance possible, a thing we'll take a look through very thorough testing, and natural convenience for the user.

C-Servers' target is to have this shipped on newer Europe servers in time for Christmas, once ready. Other servers at SolusVM will stay at Solus for now, without any changes - when implemented, a migration procedure will occur progressively later on, one fashion or another.

    Tiago

PS - I'd watch our ASN (AS214566) closely... you may see one or two /24's getting there on the next days. hehe
