I removed the tag because I chose to. I work with clients across multiple channels, so taking down one listing doesn’t mean I’ve stopped offering services elsewhere. Everything I do is self‑funded and debt‑free; I have the resources to run my businesses long term. The Yeti is 49 and retired, that’s background, not a liability. No need to speculate further; I’ll post updates where appropriate.

Oh right, might have to leave that thanks, but pretty VPS and BGP service stuff is definitely gone. Maybe it's not taking new business? I assume the admins have a contact address that can be used for a liveliness test every so often. Maybe failure to respond after 3 contact attempts or no login for 2+ years a provider gets marked as "idle" or something?
Elsewhere someone proposed Virmach be stripped of its provider tag. It doesn't seem like an unreasonable request, but I think the approach is not particularly defensible in this case. I've been meaning to ask, should there be a process for providers to maintain their tags? Some sort of liveliness check for sure, but maybe some, hopefully easy and simple, ongoing eligibility criteria that must be maintained? Then I'd suggest the answer is yes, there should be some basic policy to remain on the list in good standing.
I don't think this needs to be complicated. Maybe even delegate some of this work to forum users, where they bring to the attention of the group an argument for de-listing, and mods can decide whether such an action is warranted or worth further investigation. Possible causes of de-listing or suspension might be the start of a policy, and for guidance purposes only such as (suggestive only)

I would argue that as long as his stuff is still working, he's still a provider...
Does this put @ViveHosting in the sights, given my non-operational VPS that has two (one Closed now) ignored Tickets against it?

Not really my choice but I'm intrigued to say the least
I removed Cloudie's hosting provider tag. Kept their service provider tag as per yoursunny's post below.

I thought Anynode customers just became BuyVM customers. Were they keeping the other brand alive?

Right, minor update on the provider list to remove VPS as one of the offered services. An update, not a removal.
