@VirMach lax2z017.virm.ac shared hosting server is not responding (control panel, email, web space). This incident is short-lived compared to some of your other customer issues. Currently 2 days beginning 1/12/26, 10:38 AM.

Let's just hope she did not close him in a basement and she does not abuse him in all sorts of pleasures destined for both. We still need the guy to monitor all the servers.

Waiting for my storage VPS to come back online!
This came back online about a week ago. Yours requires fsck, check VNC. Let me know if you notice any significant issues please, I haven't had a chance to verify everything to a greater level, only spot checking, plus our own stuff on there looked fine.
@msatt said: @VirMach not sure I should be specially singled out but apology accepted thank you.
Based on our previous interactions, there are some customers I remember to a great level, and you're one of them, and you definitely stood out in terms of feeling like I really let everyone down.
Two VPS on AMSD018 down for maintenance for 4 months so far and you just left us
AMSD018 has "technically" been online for over 3 months. I say technically not to pretend like it's online in any meaningful way but to let you know I've pretty much been looking at it every week, time permitting, trying to stabilize it enough to get customer data off from one disk. Very much a sunk cost fallacy situation.
I'm going to likely call it on this, while technically recoverable at this point it's doing more harm keeping everyone offline.
May be cheeky to ask but why not - how about a donation of a dedi to FOSSVPS (as compensation for everyone) ?
Those affected by your absence could have free access which we would manage? As long as people behave themselves and are long standing non spammy on LES I would drop the strict open source development requirement.
Sure, why not*
*With a lot of caveats. I love projects like this, I'd have to look into it a bit more and then it will have to be in Oklahoma, and I'm not sure what server or if it would have IPv4, etc. We can discuss it when Oklahoma's back on track, if you're interested.

The Los Angeles network issue seems to be resolved.
No flapping for 24 hours plus now.
Thank you VirMach.
That's really good to know, since I had to dedicated a significant portion of time to it this week. I might post about this in greater detail later as I may need some continued feedback from the community in a more constructive manner, should we continue to run into problems. Not everyone is affected equally so I need to be able to pinpoint everything better in terms of network degradation reports.

Remind me to talk about this later.
@tulipyun said: However, the OKC server was cancelled last month due to routing issues. I do hope @Virmach will provide me with a new one in future.
If anyone else did cancel Oklahoma, let me know and I can try to bring it back since you're getting a service extension.
@tulipyun said: Do not forget that TYOC007 remains in extended downtime. As you have not mentioned it, it is still on the cancellation list.
Not forgotten, just confirming with you that the node you named is on my shortlist. This doesn't mean anything other than I see "TYOC007" on my screen multiple times a day.
@tulipyun said: I've cancelled the cancellation request for the SJC VPS, hoping it will return to normal before its expiry date.
Current general plan for San Jose is to wait for a response, but several plans in place based on their response.
Assuming they do at least respond, it could mean a move to Los Angeles, a physical move, locking off the location and potential partial move, sending in a router plus consolidation, heavy port restrictions and/or connectivity changes.

I only did it because I genuinely felt you were letting many of us down - the criticism was to the company rather than the person (appreciate it is often hard to separate).
AMSD018 - its been off (for me) so long, so yes I agree. Don't waste anymore energy on it. Provide service elsewhere.

FOSSVPS is genuinely providing Open Source solutions. We have been strict because of resources, but more donations makes it better for everyone. Beggars can't be choosers - OKC is absolutely fine and our standard 'issue' is NAT + IPv6 although having IPv4 is beneficial.
I genuinely think a donation will help repair your reputation providing things stabilize of course and as I said LES (virmach) members would get priority acceptance.
Looking forward to the phoenix (bird not node) rising.

@VirMach Dude I need your help with 2 of 3 disconnected VPS's I have.
1st. Inactive since May last year or even more, I don't remember - MIAZ014
2nd. The second one is disconnected since December, since I renewed the service after a few hours suspension for non payment - ATLZ007B

Miami got closed down and VMs migrated to other locations as I recall. Did you ask to stay in Miami?
ATL was off for about a year, cancelled, san Jose was off about 6 months, cancelled, OKC was off about 4 months, cancelled,
remaining ones are off or has been, @Virmach, how do I claim or ask for extension, since they're all gone?

Why have a ticket system in the first place... Why did you even register your trademark if you 💩 shit 💩 on it yourself? Maybe the next logical step is to close everything down. No website = No business = No expectations (from others) = No problems! VirCrap.
I've noticed you're changing RYZE.TYO-C039.VMS's IPv6 settings. The current status is unavailable. When the changes are finished and it's ready to use, please let me know. @VirMach

I've been wondering when he'd respond again and if I'm honest that's much less caustic than I expected. I'm not even certain that's being a dick. I mean ... there's no clowns .... and it's just the one post ....

As always just my opinion.
Fair enough. I can set the bar even lower, and restrain myself in the future.

My San Jose vps renewal is coming, so should I renew even though it's been off for months?
Mine too, and TYOC007 as well.
I do hope @Virmach fixes it before it expires, or extends the service period for those unable to use it.
Yes, @Virmach needs a lot of food so he can fix all the servers this week.

I am starting to think this is fake @VirMach as there is no single wall of text posted.
We need some pictures and with AI it's gonna be hard.
