  • Congrats on the expansion! I'm loving the concept and eagerly watching this project's progress. The combination of enterprise-style deployment (migration, private internal networking, scalability) with low prices is very attractive.
I know you mentioned that it's a work in progress, but IPv6 integration will make this even better.

Best of luck and thanks for the offer!

It appears that you are giving each user /64 but each VM can have only one /128.
If this is the case, you'll land on IPv6 less than /64 Hall of Incompetence.
On the other hand, if you can each user a /64 but allow each VM to claim multiple unlimited individual IPv6 addresses chosen by the user, it can be considered an competent implementation.

No, you can allocate a /64 per location and then assign IPs from that /64 to any VPS (not just 1)

You will also be able to assign IPs from other locations if you have a /64 there so you can have endpoints or elastic IPv6.

We will also add ipv6 to the haproxy end points for faster ttfb on elastic IPs

If you migrate your IPv6 will work post migration anywhere but will be marked as homes elsewhere.

    So, I hope that's ok.

If you could be sure to mark all hosts that can't do this as incompetent on your list that would be great thanks.

Also as a reminder, this is ipv6 in alpha, it is not the final version of the ipv6 roll out, it's me probably wrongly allocating time to the ipv6 loud minority.

Ipv6 is opt-in I will publish use stats, if it's not over 10% it won't get anything extra for beta.

Now get off my ipv4 lawn !!!

    (All in good humour)

  • Using IPv6 on TierHive in Singapore now. I was waiting for IPv6 to give it a try.
