Initial deployments might be a bit slow; the template sync is quite slow due to latency, and they are done on demand. Alpine and debain in sync, so that covers most people anyway

Very cool service, would like to give it a shot longer term but unfortunately you don't seem to accept crypto.
Do you plan on adding support for adding balance with it?
From the more "compliant" payment processors that would pay you in FIAT in the end, and should work in the UK https://coingate.com/ it requires name etc from the customer, but it's still much better than what processors such as Bitpay do with requiring full ID KYC.
For me self-hosted BTCPay would be the best, but I'm willing to settle with coingate
Also, any objections to hosting I2P nodes on your service? They will work just fine with NAT, consume about ~20 Mbps (both ways) and about 40% of usual E5 1 core. They wont generate any abuse reports etc, but could result in the IP being blocked in mainland China, just like with Tor Relays.

CoinGate is a nightmare to work with as a merchant.
We do plan to accept crypto when we move into Beta, for now we are strictly on a merchant of record platform which means we dont need to know who you are or store your information.
We will most likely go for one of the many self-hosted options rather than use one of the processors like BitPay.
Our goal is to store as little data as legally possible about customers, we even remove accounts that are idle after 90 days (actually 120 is the maximum under some circumstances)

@AnthonySmith would it make sense to consolidate the hourly charges instead of them being 1 line for each hour? Something like:

The local IP has been hidden on mobile view, seems to fit well now.
I meant for desktop with narrow width, 1720 × 1440 in my case. I use a 3440 × 1440 ultra wide monitor and split it into 2 windows, so each window gets 1720 × 1440 res. Almost every site works fine with this, but the tierhive dashboard doesn't...

Erm, that's super odd, that is literally being worked on in the sandpit version this weekend.
We moved that up ahead of the static/shared hosting side this week (2 days before cpanel/WHM shit hit the fan)
I guess that could work yeah, there is a voucher system coming out hopefully late next week that will allow you to generate vouchers from your own credit, its actually an admin side thing but we figured we could expose a sub version to end users.
Its going to form part of the team's feature when we get to beta, which will allow you to connect/bridge subnets and share resources/credit.

Are you willing/able to share anymore info about this pls?
We will be offering static hosting, you will be able to hook it up to a database on your own VPS with tierhive if you want, not a lot else to say, price is still being decided, we will probably have a free tier.
The plan is to make it self-replicating across all locations. We may also offer region-specific options. We already have the HAProxy infrastructure to allow you to load balance and setup failover and have a cdn cache front end with SSL and SNI termination for faster ttfb for users, it seemed an obvious add on.
Honestly right now, its a bunch of bullet points on our future plans channel but none of the concepts are new to any of us, we are just going to do it in a fairly simple way.

i set the other thread to sink now to try and keep everything in this one.
Alpha 0.7.0 released.
Changes.
Voucher codes system is in, as an end user you can now generate token vouchers from your own balance, maybe you have a positive balance you no longer need and want to sell or donate it to someone else, you can also reclaim your own vouchers, you can do up to $100 in vouchers per month and up to 50 vouchers, you must have a minimum balance of 2 tokens to generate tokens as that gets us past even the largest free token acrewed balances. You can generate tokens from 0.100000 minimum. Available on the quick actions or billing on the left-hand menu:
SQL servers have been powered off.
Mail servers will be powered off today.
Network Disks will be detached and become unavailable from today.
We added Sydney Australia
A few UI improvements were done (More to come for @somik screen resolutions)
Burst capabilities were added as standard, your VPS will now perform at double its resource tier for up to 5 seconds if the resource is available and you will slowley be able to generate more burst time as you idle so if you could get 100mbit you will get 200mbit for 5 seconds, which I guess is helpful and same for Disk IO and CPU Time, existing users will need to up or downgrade resource tiers and then go back to the previous ones to activate this.
We have removed the Vietnam GeoBlock, VN Users are welcome.
Work has started on the basics of the static hosting.
The static hosting will be the last major update to tierHive in Alpha. After that, we are going to focus on long-term stability, UI/UX tweaks and expansion until we feel comfortable going into beta. we have a few scale challenges that need to be addressed with our custom mesh architecture, but that's almost all admin side.

Are you planning to add public IPv4? Not sure on the demand of dedicated IPv4 on cheap VPS but you probably can charge a fixed monthly rate for IPv4 for renting it out.
Also, I saw that you are planning to offer preconfigured subdomains. That is a great addon!

Yes at some stage during beta we will offer full IPv4 the IPv4 address will be allocated to your meshed bridge so will act as your NAT gateway and you will get deristrictedtred ports and number of ports obviously.
So that means your VPS in France can be reached via the London IP via the mesh if desired.
We really have to see how it goes though.
Subdomains were a day 1 thought actually just the use for them is not a day 1 feature haha.

SQL Offload and Email services and network disk service have been removed now. I am keeping everything for a week, on top of the week's notice, as it was a bit short. If you really need something (really) I will find a way to get it to you (ticket please).
Backups are also now decoupled from VPS servers on deletion, so now, when you delete a VPS with a backup, you will just see a warning that the backup will stick around unless you delete it.
Backup storage is now showing up in the dashboard overview, so you know what you are paying and how many you have.
Backups from deleted VPS will show up as orphaned backups; you can attach them to any existing or new VPS as a 2nd disk.
Some of the framework for the freezing/thawing is done but it needs more work so that was not pushed out as its extra not core work, in simple terms, you can freeze a VPS and you start to only pay for the storage and by that i mean the actual storage, if you only have 7.2GB of storage used on your 50GB disk you only pay for the 7.2GB, you can unthaw it at any time to any location, there is a 0.1 one time fee for the freeze & thaw process. If you run out of tokens, you will lose the disk after 3 days, just like everything else.
There is still a plan to reduce the VPS cost by 50% while powered down, it will be done at the same time. This is obviously different to freezing & thawing, where your disk is moved to spinning rust and is just a database record, but given that we are trying to keep costs as low as possible while keeping the service usable, people shutting down when its not in use helps, so that should have an incentive.
SQL offload and email were removed from the recipe creation section, and any recipes that relied on it are no longer active. You can still access these recipes as the owner, you will just see an error block to remove so you dont need to update the entire recipe, and the scripting remains intact.

Yesterday evening I shut down my test VPS and recorded my Token balance. I had planned to check the token balance again later today, after 24 hours.
Somehow, sorry, I had been under the impression that the expected result was zero descrease in Token balance. Not at all a problem, but, if you have time, maybe you could tell me:
Should I expect to see a decrease tonight?
Is the decrease percentage expected to change sometime soon, as development proceeds?
I have tried for several days, and again just now, to create a TierHive VPS instance in Kansas City, which is closer to me than Vint Hill. Each time, I receive this error:
The selected location has reached its capacity limits. Please try a different location or wait a few minutes and try again - we update capacity frequently.
Of course, Vint Hill is fine, 100% okay in all respects.
Would you recommend that I keep trying Kanses City, or should I go ahead with Vint Hill? Thanks very much! Best!

Unfortunately it's how I am with all kinds hosting related. I value my privacy and don't leave too many fingerprints around.
Speaking of which, I was already planning to setup some extra nodes in different regions... Waiting on australia
Btw, noticed there is a limit to assign a max of 10 IPv6 IPs to a single VPS. Why not 18 quadrillion?
You'll run out of ram first.
We're the source, no cap. Address us: We/Our/Ours.

Speaking of which, need to run a test to see how much RAM is consumed PER additional IP added to the server...
