Okay, don't tell anyone about this at all, but... C-Servers is running a special campaign yet again!

Are we insane? Have we gone nuts? In this economy, running a new campaign again?

Well, since we have capacity and have been optimizing our costs... yes! Plus, we're 3 years in since this company started existing and 2 years in since we started our offers, so why not?

Let's get it to the point:

  • ALL products with stock are included on this campaign. Only the VPS Outlet products are excluded.
  • Coupon code: TWOYEARS for a whopping 30% OFF RECURRING on our entire lineup at c-servers.co.uk!
  • This coupon is available for new and existing users this week only and until Sunday, May 10th!

Aaaaaaand we have some special products on our website. Remember the 8GB RAM VPS for 3.99 USD per month in the UK? Well, it's back! And we have a very limited campaign for those that want to use a lot of RAM!

We also have a LES Exclusive Special VPS, where we are executing, with limited stock, our first-ever pricing for our VPS!

Two years ago, we've started with a 1.29 USD/3 months offer for a 1 vCore CPU, 512MB RAM (earlier on even a 384MB RAM), 10GB NVMe (earlier on a 5GB NVMe) and some usable Internet traffic on an IPv6-only VPS. That pricing was unbeatable - well, still is.

That's why we are offering it again, for one moment only: a special commemorative VPS, but now with NAT as well and on VirtFusion. Fancy having it? There are limited spots - get yours today!

C-Servers you've never seen!

HAProxy? Anything ipv4 which isn't on some arbitrary set of ports? Or, is it intended to be IPv6 only with v4 NAT for convenience?

It's the VirtFusion's way of doing IPv4 NAT (which doesn't go through HAProxy, but through iptables and libvirt). It is still intended to be primarily IPv6 (has a full /64) but has an IPv4 NAT there for convenience. :)

@luckydanny you are new so please check LES rules.

Do not trash offer posts for the sake of it, if you have a genuine issue with a host open a helpdesk ticket or write a review if it is service-related, this goes double for other hosts.

Negative "reviews" without proof will be placed in the Rants section and will do no damage.

OK ,I'll take a look at the rules. Sorry for the interruption. Thanks for letting me know!

Remembering that the coupon goes until Sunday, May 10th, and includes Sunday.

Contrary to our other previous offers, where the deadline was also the day where the coupon stopped being valid, this time it actually includes Sunday as the last day the 30% off recurring coupon is valid.

That's the general industry policy and we weren't applying it before merely due to the interpretation of the "End Date" field that our billing system does.

And due to the very nice demand seen for this coupon, we're here to announce that it was extended!

It now ends at May 12, 23h59 GMT +1. So, it's now valid until the very day the company was founded.

I snagged two of the campaign deals, thank you!

However please check ticket #1539 - if most outbound ports are blocked now I won't set up the OSs I'll just refund them.

  • @cservers is Radio/Audio Streaming going to have other regions?

We will be changing our Radio/Audio streaming services from Europe to Montreal on the next few days (it's still a great location for Europe accesses nevertheless). Do you feel there could be demand elsewhere for the service?

We are reviewing the outbound blocking at v4 outside of NAT on the type and number of ports, which had to be done for security purposes and due to earlier-seen abuse (at present 80/443 are available on v4 and then, NAT ports on the 50xxx, as stated on the product description). However, that will be mapped as separate to NAT, as it is not being NAT but actually bridging at libvirt.

We're open to have some services available through direct bridging but ports where we had previous abuse or where there is widely recognized abuse will not be opened. A Knowledge Base article on the allowed bridged ports will be available once that review is complete. In any case, IPv6 is still normally available as a full regular public IP as well.

Anyone using Storj for backups (discount S3 provider) will be blocked - their tools connect to 7777. Maybe you can exempt their IPs (like the 'Active' set from this list)?

I don't know the technical network stuff that would need to be done: just that my c-server VPS needs to connect out to that port on IPv4 - and it worked since I bought my plan last Sept. And it has been broken since sometime May 5th.

    Thanks!

Port 7777 is actually used for many more things, apparently...

Okay, so we've reviewed the port allocations and opened a block of outbound IPv4 bridged ports, which does include the port you desired, the port 7777 for Storj. :)

Other usual suspects include e-mail on 465, IKE/IPsec, some multiplayer games and their protocols, APNs from Apple, RTP/RTCP, SIP (TLS only), iPerf 3, XMPP (SSL only), IAX2, L2F/L2TP, Teamspeak 2/3 and Memcached Outgoing SSL Proxy. We wanted to include SoftEther's native port, but couldn't because it's too used by malware, and the same did go for Cloudflare Tunnels (at 7844), but it's a robust set of directly bridged ports which should cover all regular needs.

Specifically for Cloudflare Tunnels or Zerotier, these were considered to be opened on v4 outbound on NAT servers, but it was decided that they shall be deployed on IPv6 (just like prior to January, when we had SolusVM 2). Given that a full usable IP exists on all services (with a delay for Coventry), and that the resulting VM always retains v6+v4 connectivity on regular HTTP/HTTPS at 80/443, there's no point on promoting NAT for these. Alternatively, any regular VPN can be deployed between two or more points.

It looks like it's working, hooray - thank you!

Note: initially I couldn't SSH in to test... however if I did the trick where you add a new forwarded-port... inbound ports came alive again (then I deleted the temp forwarded-port)

Since the link is for logged in customers only, a 404 as it shows right now seems not the right status code. 401/403 seems more applicable
