Well, when i can get a minute of either @oliau or trewq (not registered... rude haha) time I wanted to discuss rolling out TierHive in all of the RansomIT locations https://www.ransomit.com.au/dedicated_servers/ they were a good supporter of LES in the early days and I wanted to repay that.
So if its possible and affordable then thats who will run japan.
Still cant believe @trewq is not registered here... surley just under another username i forgot....

I was just trying to list some providers already on your list, so no worries.
That’s a great call, though—even though I’m usually just lurking, I definitely remember them from back in the day. In fact, RansomIT would be awesome since their latency to my ISP is much better than LeaseWeb's.

I have been trying to figure out how to create a new TierHive VPS in a new location from the Control Panel with IPv6 already installed and working inside the VPS.
I think I understand that -- all within the Control Pnel -- one can create a VPS, add an IPv6 subnet to the location of the created VPS, plus add an IPv6 address to the created VPS. Then one apparently can log in to the new VPS via IPv4 and configure the internal IPv6 network settings manually inside the VPS.
But, if there is a way that the Control Panel can create a new VPS in a new location with IPv6 up and running inside the VPS, . . . I have missed it. So I could use some help understanding the Control Panel, when you have time, please, no rush.
Also, I again ran into the result of many successful TierHive Kansas City sales! So, if possible, could you again help with capacity as well, please. Should I try to continue with Kansas City location or try again elsewhere? Again, no rush, please. Whenever you have time is fine!

There is not, because you allocate/whitelist the IPv6 addresses and assign them to a VS once the VPS has been created.
So if you want IPv6 you need to manually configure it using the info provided in the panel.

After the last update, I did everyone jumped in on Kansas, its pretty slammed now, I need to get on to @Advin to get additional capacity.

Not an enterprise product not built for performance, let's put it on a site that only measures performance as a core metric
haha, well, I guess its maybe helpful for someone, I will take and appreciate the backlink even if it is a bilohbucks site.

Well, comparing a Ryzen 7 9850X3D with Xeon doesnt make much sense. Some people need a Porsche, some people need a Scania truck. Lets not fetishize that score.
For long-lasting sustained load and years+ unaffected work, I wouldnt bet on Ryzen with non-ECC RAM.
And Im not expecting a Porsche to last 2 million miles.

Thanks to @AnthonySmith. For an inexpensive hosting platform, the timely response to TierHive issues is great. He got my custom variable issues fixed in a jiffy. Kudos sir. 👏

Yeah, KC seems to provision for me as well. Got one, deleted it, made another. All from my phone. Got in by ssh with ConnectBot ssh app. Thanks Ant!
Friendly greetings!
I seem to see the NVMe disk range extend from 35 GB to 50 GB on my more recently created Kanasa City TierHive instance:
But the disk size range seems to be 1 GB to 50 GB on my previously created Vint Hill instance:
May I please ask what explains the possible difference in the available size ranges?
Also, can the size of the Kansas City disk be adjusted below and then above 35 GB?
Thanks very much!
Tom
We don't support disk shrinking on my stalled systems, one of them was setup with a 35GB disk the other with a 1GB disk I assume. ?

Finland, please.
Austria Vienna with sgraf Dedi may be . Not sure if available and hardware config that you are working with
I believe in good luck. Harder that I work ,luckier i get.
West Coast USA would be good. Something non-OVH would be nice, too.
+1
Japan - maybe Leaseweb?

Feature Request -- Add NetBSD
If it helps, @cmeerw has been making NetBSD qcow2 images.
Linveo has been using @cmeerw's images. @linveo
I don't think there are official NetBSD qcow images. But @cmeerw's images seem to work for me.
Thanks!!
Tierhive mentioned on Hacker News:

I have a box of rpi zero w 2's I should do something with them
Thanks @btxx if you want another pi gimme your address you basically paid for a few indirectly with that post
I don't know why you have put the VPS as $4 p/year though it's much less than that haha. (Or it should be)

Yes, that is incorrect! Think that was carried over from my “outline” when I was originally putting the post together :P I will update shortly!

Thanks! Much appreciated 😃
(I’m actually playing with the idea of setting up a similar “in-RAM” server for my personal site with a Raspberry Pi 3 + OpenBSD)
@AnthonySmith you got pretty high score on ServerVerify: https://serververify.com/hosting-providers/tierhive

Hilarious... someone must have been bored.

Life would be boring if people edited out the funny mistakes. It's like the blooper reel for real life. Too bad we dont have those anymore either...

You don't need a blooper reel when everything's been a joke for the last 20 years.
