introducing Lazentis
Tylerviljami
Hosting Provider
Hi, LowEndSpirit community!
We are lazentis. A Dutch company with its eye set on becoming a European cloud provider. There is still a long road ahead to even reach that status, but we are trying.
Almost a year ago, we opened our first PoP in Amsterdam with our first enterprise clients. Now we are also moving to smaller quantities but with the same quality. Since we are more enterprise, we are not focusing on gaming nodes, and we probably never will be.
We try to bring good quality at an affordable price for everyone. That's also one of the goals why Lazentis started originally.
Currently, we mostly sell VPS and object storage. That's our springboard. More cloud-related products will follow later on. All our VPSes run on Intel Xeon Gold CPUs with DDR4 RAM, and the network is up to 20 Gbit. Our main PoP is in Amsterdam at AMS5, Digital Realty.
Next to the standard offerings, we also do custom solutions. A couple of streaming companies are running with us on dedicated servers with 100G connections, for example. So if you have a setup that doesn't fit in a normal VPS plan, there's a good chance we can build something around it.
Happy to answer all questions, and if there is any feedback, let me know! This is the first time we have even typed an introduction
.

AMS is already full of DC
apt mooYes, there is actually a stop on building new datacenters in Amsterdam! But there are still enough options to divert in the metro area. DRT AMS5 is lucky enough to be outside the city of Amsterdam but within the metro area.
lazentis ---- welcome to the LES community.
now that is out of the way ... you can take off your pant and enjoy the day
haha! Thanks! Really appreciate the welcome
Hi, I really like your website design
Do you have a Looking Glass in your network maybe?

Many thanks! If you have feedback, let me know.
Will fix the LG today! Thanks for the question. Will respond here with the URL when it's online.
Both of your upstreams are US companies, not really sovereign if you ask me. While IPXO is European, one of your ranges is from an UAE company and another one from an US company.
Cloudflare nameservers is also not very sovereign.
Worthy contender and I mean it
I smell young but experienced (probably from childhood) operator with a lot of energy and authenticity. And a lot of heart put into the project. Finally a worthy opponent, our battle will be legendary
If my opinion would matter (it doesnt, but hey) - this young gentleman is not here for scams, he's here to stay
For what my opinion is worth - warm welcome, VERY GOOD entry.
IMHO he has "my counter strike server is the best in whole school" written all over him. Or minecraft, whatever.
Little "bullshit factors" here and there are forgettable*

True, unfortunately US still got a bigger hand in infrastructure. We can only start a battle when we are becoming bigger and get leverage on bigger European deals.
Thanks for your feedback tho! if you have any alternatives we should really look at just let me know.
Thanks! Really like what you guys are also doing. And also thanks for the warm welcome.
hi, just setted up the LG! here is the link: https://lg.lazentis.com

Thanks for the welcome!
Welcome. Nice website.
Any plans on BYOIP, storage servers and private vlans?
We already do that! Not automated unfortunately but yeah we do that already.
Then you might want to mention that on your website. I actively looked for it but found nothing so I assumed that you do not, like I think most people would.
Thanks for the feedback! Good idea to set it on the website.
Let me know if you have more feedback
Welcome. Very interesting.
Shame there is no VDS plans, could be a TierHive node given that the Netherlands dedicated server deals suck these days.

I really like how your website looks. Looking forward to your offers, but I think it will be hard to stand out with 2 extremely common locations (AMS and FRA).
I second that. Additionally one of your upstreams Macarne doesn't pay their bills with transit providers, instead abuses trial offerings and on-boarding offers, has multiple shell companies ("SF Innovations Inc.", "EMPEIRIA AI LTD", "TierOneX LLC", ...) where they do the same thing over and over. Once transit providers realize and kick them out, they just come back with a new shell company and different identity.
I know it's dirt cheap, I've seen quotes. But there is a reason behind it.
Idk I don't see many Netherlands offers these days.
I might be blind, looking forward to regular offer posts

I might be wrong but I dont think offers in general works anymore
Most people just assume that when offer is finished, the price wll jump. So the only crowd really attracted to it are the guys who know they will be banned in 2 weeks anyway
The market so competitive that I seriously admire people entering it with a plan to make money on it without added services or unusual offers like TierHive or MetalVPS. Or maybe Contabo-style oversell to the point the company becomes a meme
Our income is in maritime and shipping, so we dont care, nodes make enough to cover the electricity. OK, there are some serious contracts on services, but this is services (VPS is just part of it, a zero sum element)
Now again: THIS IS WHAT I THINK.
And Im probably completely wrong.

Hi,
Yes there are a lot of providers at these locations but we are not offering it because it’s special. It’s because people want it in the segment we do mostly business (Enterprise B2B).
About sovereignty: check the point we made about it. Currently the quality lacks at EU providers and it’s who has legal and direct access in the Netherlands. We have made an whitepaper about it if you want to read it. Tho whole sovereignty discussion is about who handles and has direct access to the data itself. Not about what providers you use (unless it has direct access ). Always happy tho to talk about sovereignty and option how we can do better.
Also I know these stories about macarne and we are also currently looking for other options. But I do want to mention if something happens we are full redundant so we can actually take an hit. We have even stuff on standby.
Greetz,
Tyler
When you post an offer here and by offer I don't mean anything except showing people what you are selling, not a limited time thing, it's just another platform to advertise on, it also ends up getting spread around in other none English places and telegram groups etc, it does lead to sales and it helps your SERP.
It creates a potential for conversation with potential customers, I really don't see a down side.

Totally agree.
Only now I understood what you mean. Until now it was translated in my head to "special limited offer", "this unique coupon", "Bored Monkey NFT"
scratch my market doom take, in this meaning offers are obviously useful and I will post our today

Most offers I've seen over the years are recurring (the price doesn't increase). If it's not recurring, I'd probably not be interested.
I already explained above what I understood by offer (and apologized for misunderstanding)
Came from experience: we have public prices and then we get contact form "Im interested in 4 VPS, send me an offer"
Ya right, I will spend now 30 minutes to make you special offer so you will pay 11.40 instead of 12.70
Those things just go to junk folder without second thought
I transferred this mindset here and I stand corrected
If the word was "price list", that would be done as the first thing after creating the account
The reason it wasnt is because we dont have any special offers
