All 17 of my VirMach VMs are still up and working well. They are much better now with Ryzen and NVMe compared to the old CC E5s. All it took was a little patience, and now I have a bunch of great Ryzen deals that I doubt I will ever find again.

(Quote) Thank you. You have brightened my day, as San Jose had been one of the best locations for me over the years. I had been avoiding moving anything more into that location because of the so so network. It is good to hear that it might get bett…

(Quote) It is true that the everyday on the OGF is not much fun for me as well. I had not stopped by the OGF for a month, until yesterday, which has to be the longest time I have spent away in years. Of course I will still return for the FAT32 spo…

@YanJony - I suggest you migrate to Los Angeles if fast network speed it important to you. This is my speed tests and ping time results for the past week from SJCZ008. Not great, but it is more or less consistently 80 Mb/s up & down which is r…

(Quote) I can't speak for the others, but for me, absolutely. EDIT: and we would be glad to see you here too. :)

@VirMach the buttons in the billing panel look very good now. (Image) Although there are no locations available for paid migrations in any of my VMs. Will this feature be available again in the future ?

(Quote) To claim the free 2GB VPS you had to have made a guess of the tickets that VirMach was going to complete on October 5th. Which both of you did. Then when VirMach did not complete 1000 tickets on October 6th those that made a ticket guess …

I Ryzen migrated a VM to Chicago2 today (no it was not the free one), and the VM now shows on CHI2Z027 but has a broken LVM. VNC shows the "No bootable device" error. I know that VirMach will come around and fix it sometime in the ne…

(Quote) I though VirMach might say the same, before I posted. I also thought nobody would actually sell, but figured there was no harm in asking.

So who wants to sell ? I'm Looking to buy 2 core Ryzen, 2GB, 50GB NVMe, 5TB transfer, lifetime.

Nice to see this update. Double VPN is welcome, now I can do quadruple VPN.
-
I would expect that VirMach will resolve issues for paying customers before taking the time to setup the 30 free VMs. Please don't make him regret giving away these free VMs, because patience is a virtue that few seem to have these days.

The IPv6 /64 previously assigned to VMs on Frankfurt Node FFME001 has been replaced with a new /48 + single IPv6. Please update your network configurations accordingly. EDIT: For those of you that are unsure how to manually change the network conf…

(Quote) Serious answer... There are no Buffalo VMs anymore, maybe that VM of yours is in Secaucus, NJ. "The node is currently locked" normally means that the VM is under migration to a different node and/or location. You can normally fin…

(Quote) I am only now beginning to understand the kind of tickets work orders VirMach receives by the thousands. I fail to see how he keeps his sanity.

(Quote) (Image) So what do you like on your pizza?

@host4cheap - 47.87.191.244 pings, so I do not expect that it is a missing LVM, and when trying to ssh in it does ask me for a password, so I expect you are up and working. :)

(Quote) This works well, thank you. I would hope that you spend most of your time today configuring more nodes with IPv6.

(Quote) Well you could pretend you have HA. :grimace: (Always good to see you around.) YABS with IPv6 for @yoursunny (Spoiler) To simulate real world client usage I have installed a VPN, a miner, H@H, and a small website. It is good that VirMach…

@FAT32 Please install Alma8 Linux template first to get AES-NI, VM-x/AMD-V enabled. Then install Proxmox . :)

@VirMach Just a note on ATLZ007B. I can ping the new gateway with the new IP, but when I try to go anywhere else I get: "From 128.136.83.193 icmp_seq=X Packet filtered" 128.136.83.193 is a Flexential IP So nothing in or out beyond the …

My local backup server has VPNs going to a couple of VirMach $3/yr VMs. This server also runs bind that does DNS lookups through those external IPs directly to root servers. I did this a few years ago because the local ISP was intercepting DNS r…

After 5 days my billing ticket was answered where I had asked how my discount would work with the new price. They told me that the discount would be applied to the monthly billing price, but I would still be billed annually. So $24.99 x 12 = $299.8…
