@InceptionHosting Great to see you around Ant. Could please check 2GB offer in London? It doesn’t seem to be working. It’s working fine for the other locations.

Congrats @bikegremlin and @MichaelCee. To an even brighter future for LES! 🎊🎉🍾

The answer is always $7 ;-)

Is there an outage in NL today? Hetrixtools is showing my storage server in NL down since 08:02 (UTC). Anyone else having problems?

Great write-up. I'm sticking to CentOS 7 and probably migrating straight to Rocky 9. Hopefully we have a clearer picture by then. It's worth mentioning that not only Microsoft CBL Mariner but also Amazon Linux are RPM based. ;-)

Maybe I've been lucky. I have storage servers running in LA, UK and NL for the last 3 years and they have been solid so far. All BF offers. The few times I needed support for upgrades due to BF offers they indeed were slower than expected. But over…

(Quote) And that's why we need 1TB increments? ;-)

(Quote) I understand 100GB increments may be too granular but I believe 1TB increments would be welcome. For instance, 1TB is too small for my needs and 5TB is too big. I'm currently using 3TB and looking to upgrade to 4TB but it's not worth it for …

(Quote) Katie, I was wondering if anyone has already suggested more granular plans? Ideally it would be great to be able to increase your plan in 100GB increments but 1TB increments would be a great improvement.

I'm sticking with CentOS 7 while it is supported. My plan is to move to Rocky then but I'm keeping an eye out on how the competitors develop.

I don't know if cable has the same problem as VDSL with Bufferbloat, but if I don't cap my upload/downloads on pfSense and let it upload/download at max speed the level of CRC error on my line triggers a reset on the ISP side and it lowers the line…

(Quote) I use a start topology with borgBackup because of this comment on their documentation: https://borgbackup.readthedocs.io/en/stable/faq.html#can-i-copy-or-synchronize-my-repo-to-another-location If you want to have redundant backup repositor…

I have the same interpretation. Incremental, each backup is just the delta from the previous backup. You'll need all the previous deltas until the date you want to recover. Differential, each backup is a delta from your base image, therefore it in…

Congrats on the new location Mike!

Still waiting for the HostHatch killer in UK 2vcpu, 3GB and 3TB HDD for €75/yr ;-)

(Quote) Indeed, according to their documentation you need the cloud desktop client installed: https://www.ubackup.com/help/how-to-backup-to-nas.html#toc.0.3449390086479136 Their newest version has an icon to Cloud Backup, but it seems it's a separa…
