It seems like my sites are slowly making a return to Bing (and DuckDuckGo and the company) search results pages. Faster than I had expected. We'll see how long it lasts. :)

(Quote) It is my understanding that DH are migrating the infrastructure (at least that was the original plan). Not sure about the team - is everyone from HM getting replaced/fired.

(Quote) Yes, I'm expecting some very heavy snowfalls today... :) Who did he borrow that one pound from?

(Quote) A shopping spree? I thought you were always skint?! :)

(Quote) Old and not entirely spot on, but you know the saying: "No one got fired for buying IBM."

(Quote) cPanel is cPanel, but not every cPanel reseller hosting is equally good. Knowledge, experience and a will to offer good service are all required. Some just don't really care about the latter, and don't care to bother to acquire the former.

(Quote) I'm talking about the service now offered/provided under the "HostMantis - a DynamicHosting company" brand. Dynamic hosting didn't offer reseller hosting before, as far as I know. It's a new thing for them.

(Quote) It's a brand new provider as far as I'm concerned. IMO: it will take to the end of this year for things to get "settled" and only then could one assess what the service is really like (uptime, performance, security, and tech. suppo…

(Quote) Well, they said they're from the LES mod/admin team...

(Quote) That's the spirit of the times. It'll get worse.

(Quote) As far as I'm concerned, if that's really the case, it's as comforting as possible (compared to other data being leaked).
-
(Quote) Really? So publicly sharing your bank account, home address, full name etc, would be the same as publicly sharing your email address?

(Quote) Ahahahah :) Where I live, there's a significant Hungarian minority. And I've always considered it a point of respect to learn the language. It's one of the most difficult languages to learn, and Hungarians seem to highly appreciate it if y…

(Quote) I think it can be said that reading books can help a lot. Even with one's native language improvement. Though active learning does help tremendously, no doubt about that.

(Quote) I studied English activelly, since 9 years old, for over a decade. Music, films, and a ton of books (and other texts) in English - always. Still, my every written article has parts that need editing, and I often can't figure it out myself. …

+1 Though, with Serbian banks, I prefer having at least 2 months time to sort things out. With possible vacations and sick leaves etc, I try to make that at least 3, whenever possible. I even pay my electricity bills for months upfront. :)

Yes, that's what I mean. They do state this: "With AWS Budget Actions, you can also configure specific actions to respond to cost and usage status in your accounts, so that if your cost or usage exceeds or is forecasted to exceed your threshold…

AWS does allow you to set budget limits, doesn't it?

(Quote) If you need it - buy it. Other prices will go up as well. Don't think it will make much difference in the long run. (of course I get a 10% of every sold Hetnzer service, why do you ask? ) :) Actually, I do have an affiliate link lol :) h…

(Quote) The cost, when using WordPress, is a ton of unused files. A change should be worth the effort (ideally with the "tools" to clean up the old stuff).

(Quote) Expect and calculate for double, then be pleasantly surprised (hopefully). :) It's how things go nowadays, worldwide, across most industries. Inflation. :(

(Quote) There's no replacement for a good editor! :)

(Quote) Good point. I think it depends on how you use it. In addition/related to what @HalfEatenPie wrote: I set it to be disabled until I manually "turn it on." And I did end up not always using it. Relatively often, but not always. Whe…

Here are some interesting facts (and workarounds) related to the current WordPress image auto-creation (disabling). And my thoughts on WordPress 6.1 default WebP image format creation.

Feedback: Payoneer wire-transfers work. And with a fairly fair policy. I paid $33, and the Hetzner account got €31.74. That's about 50 cents commission, i.e. about 1.5 percent. With more than fair storage box prices (under $3 per month for 1TB), …
