(Quote) I don't think all customers religiously frequent LES. Anyways, please also show current limits on the dashboard. (Quote) Please Anthony, I am not trying to annoy you, and I ask this with only love in my heart: what is the point? Have you c…

All I ask is that the changes are communicated to customers and current limits are show in the VPS dashboard. I was very annoyed when my VPS hit the (secret) CPU limit and I wasn't told about it. All I could see was that steal was 50-75%. Is there…

I don't see a knob to turn that specifies network bandwidth. Are network performance levels supposed to correlate with network bandwidth? All in all I think your 2.5x promotion is confusing. How is life of service defined? Will VPS stops/suspends …

What does network speed multiplier in AMS mean? How is life of service defined? What qualifies as an upgrade or downgrade? P.S. You need to update your sig. P.P.S Funky routing to Hetzner in Germany. Unexplained 20 ms hop.

(Quote) Very nice. No steal.

+1 for more locations, even at a premium. Please also bring up the locations teased earlier.

Estimated Runtime from current usage seems to not include charges from stopped VPSes.

(Quote) Nothing but dropbears there.

(Quote) No worries, no hurries.

As an aside, when trying to test the included HAproxy, I discovered none of the free subdomain services will allow _TXT records. From this perspective a user content domain would be a welcome addition, as previously alluded to.

At what locations to you offer S3 object storage?
-
(Quote) That's a mischaracterization. All production is at capacity. Demand is simply outstripping supply. It's not like some evil industrialists are idling factories to keep prices high, they are busy making bank, running all production lines at …

Tierhive mentioned on Hacker News: Serving a Website on a Raspberry Pi Zero Running Entirely in RAM https://btxx.org/posts/memory/ https://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=48064312

Finland, please.

https://www.systemfreaks.com/object-storage/ $4/TB, $36/TB annually, Canada

Excellent. Auto-assigned user domain will have the added benefit of never having to look up any IP addresses, even for temporary VMs.
-
(Quote) Since you already have a reverse proxy, how about a pre-configured user content domain for lazy people/testing/temporary use? For example: $USERNAME.userhive.com Those that want to use their own domain can still do so, those that just want…

(Quote) This is the second time somebody requests a cut from 10 cents VPSes :)
-
(Quote) I get the credit card fraud angle, but not the microtransaction thing. Can you generate more than 10 cents per month using one core mining crypto?
-
I mean, what’s the point, you are paying more for the VPS than what you make? This makes no sense, unless the VPS has been compromised and you are spending somebody else’s money.
-
(Quote) Were all these VPSes compromised or do people really run crypto miners in this day and age?
-
Yeah, I kinda guessed that upstream allocations were the reason for using /64s.
-
(Quote) Usually you assign a /64 per host. Logically then if you have more than one host you get a larger allocation.
-
This is a question, not a request: * why /64 for IPv6 and not /56?
-
@Not_Oles can you ELI5 why I'd want this instead of Alpine Linux?

https://danubedata.ro/solutions/storage 4€/TB https://intercolo.net/en/object-storage 5€/TB (volume and prepay discounts)

https://hexabyte.se/en/cloud/object-storage/ 5€/TB https://storadera.com/resources/regions 7€/TB

Never said it was cheap.
-
The point of buying S3 storage is usually redundancy, replication and availability. Slapping an S3 frontend on some random block storage is kinda pointless.
-
(Quote) Can you expound on this? Triple replicated, as in the minimum baseline CEPH does or actual replicas in other DCs?
-
I was comparing the price to other S3 offerings.
-
(Quote) 10€/TB. Where's the attractive part?
-
(Quote) This one is sus. Hidden pricing ($3.5/TB), only small, fixes size storage (250GB-5 TB), probably slow (HDD only) and not a word about availability, redundancy or replication. Price is good, tho. (Quote) Why would anybody use these when they…
