(Quote) Basic stuff and should've been the first place that you looked. Shared hosting is cheap and more suited to someone with no sysadmin skills. Just saying. (Oh, and zero sympathy due to using Ubuntu on a server.)

LMFTFY (Quote) As that's what you're likely to get - allegedly ;)

^ Zorin ain't my "cuppa tea" as a daily driver, though impressive nonetheless. :+1:

^ Yup, same here on a relatively recent re-install. I had to mess about with rescue, in order to partition properly. IIRC, it needed Virmach to make some change - perhaps a fresh netboot download. [Edit for clarity.]

Jeez, that's high end equipment guys! I have an original Model B Pi. :| Must dust down "Orac" and fire it up again, with DietPi

^ I actually have 13 partitions (including the Extended one) on this 256GB laptop. :open_mouth:
-
^ I did say! ;) Now if you have/had your home/data partitioned, then the underlying Linux variant makes/would make no difference. (In the past, I've mutli-booted to three different distros; ain't got time/energy for that now though. Just Windoze, fo…

(Quote) Haven't managed to figure out how to boot from it. :( (Booting from a local netboot.xyz to Alma 8.9 also didn't work.)

I totally forgot that I have/had an account there. Just as well I didn't use it, I guess. :|

(Quote) Thanks but I don't see any provision for that within Client Area/Virtualizor (possibly my senility is missing it!).

@AK_KWH Is it not possible to mount an ISO, to allow proper disc partitioning?

Epson printers had never been an issue for me, though I don't tend to purchase the latest/greatest shiny model. My (old) Epson flatbed hi-res negatives scanner was always a pain to get working, though thankfully my Samsung color (sic) laser works no…

Much prefer the ethos of Mint. I previously used Ubuntu (Hardy Heron) then when switched, never looked back. I hate the imposition of for example, snap, as just one of Ubuntu's supposedly great ideas. Also, as a general rule, I try to stay clear of …

Ironically, the two sites that had massive bandwidth usage recently, seem to not have the above issue with indexed parameters. A point of note, is that I found the following in robots.txt to be a totally wasted effort.. (Quote) Along with these, th…

I've had the search engines totally ignore directives for years! Google in particular loves adding query strings. Webmaster Tools be damned. When I'm a bit more "on the ball", I'll slowly read the above and try to glean some tips. Cheers.

What was the point of re-posting all that blurb?

Great to see a fully textual menu system: takes me back to one I created some 30 years ago. :) No bloat there, it seems. :+1: Nice one @babywhale

^ TBF, OpenPanel (as opposed to OpenAdmin) is like an advanced user control panel. OpenVirt/oVirt?

(Quote) I actually used that range as only an example (typical for sFTP usage); the same applies for other ranges - try 20010-20020 as an arbitrary test (I haven't checked if used by other services). I won't divulge the actual range that I use for a…

Any scope to reduce the minimum size allocated to docker, for user accounts? (Quote)

Settings, Docker produces a "Secure Connection Failed". 1.1GB used out of 10GB and nearly 1GB RAM before any domains/websites have been added to the user account - ouch! I have/had comprehensive e-commerce sites run in considerably less. …

Install script is looking much "cleaner". I started with a minimum OS install (hurrah!) and once the FQDN was set, along with "opencli ssl-hostname", it was possible to login. Re. firewall ports; next you'll be asking for a YT v…
