^ Yup, same here on a relatively recent re-install. I had to mess about with rescue, in order to partition properly. IIRC, it needed Virmach to make some change - perhaps a fresh netboot download.

Much prefer the ethos of Mint. I previously used Ubuntu (Hardy Heron) then when switched, never looked back. I hate the imposition of for example, snap, as just one of Ubuntu's supposedly great ideas…
