@Falzo not sure if this just applies to germans, but I saw Webtropia also embedded a "Jetzt Kündigen" cancellation button in the footer ( https://zkm.webtropia.com/s/contracts/public/terminate/create ) as per the new law regarding "Fa…

(Quote) Not that I need it, but that looks like a very generous offer :)

It probably can't hurt putting your site behind Cloudflare, albeit the (original) attacker now likely already knows your shared host's ip address. It's weird that you didn't get any kind of notification about the suspension, though. I realize @Lamp…

Lunanode allows custom iso upload: https://www.lunanode.com/features.php Been using them on and off and are quite a solid/established provider. Don't know about the subnets though.

Still happy with having my Wiki on GitHub. Slowly filling it with content now :) (Image)

(Quote) Well, according to https://github.com/R3NE07/Futro-S740/blob/main/README.md it's 3W idle, 10W for e.g. browsing the internet and 14W heavy load. (Image)

(Quote) Why not? I'm not following what you are trying to say here. Ideal about 3W, Powerful state about 12-13W
-
(Quote) Yeah, I am really happy with it and will put my Pi to some other use (or just play around with). Power usage of the Futro is apparently 3W TDP (idle), and up to 13-14W when working/load. For me that means it'll cost me about 8€/yr if it idl…

On another note, the Futro S740 arrived yesterday.. and passed Memtest woohooo :P It looks very new, still. Definitely was cleaned up very well and shipping was very fast :) Flashed Ubuntu on it for now and will go from there. To be continued...Y…

@Falzo beat me to it. The one he mentioned just came back in stock. Ordered one for 50€ (excl shipping) :) https://www.piospartslap.de/Fujitsu-Futro-S740-ThinClient-Intel-J4105-150GHz-8GB-16GB-SSD-Incl-Fuss-Netzteil

Just added another wiki entry on GitHub today. Straight forward, no maintenance, no cost. Works for my purposes :)

(Quote) Fwiw, I bought 2x 2TB External Drives from WD Elements line. One in 2020 and one in 2021. One of them already died. I should have probably checked for warranty, but well.. Now, I check my drives' health with CrystalDisk Info and use Aomei P…

(Quote) Thanks for reminding me. I still have a RPi 3B+ somewhere in the basement. Might check if it still works and put it to some use and see if it does the job. I remember flushing some arm plex build on it in the past but can't remember how perf…

1-2 years back I was in the same position. My Google free tier piled up and I moved all photos to unlimited Prime Photos and bought pCloud lifetime 500GB, where I moved all my stuff from GDrive. Haven't looked back :)

(Quote) Happy to hear things have been going well! Thanks for the update and good luck for the future, mate :) Cheers!

(Quote) Ah, I didn't realize you were still running it. I thought the project was discontinued, but you (probably) just stopped advertising it, then? Still, it's good to hear that you were able to limit abuse to a minimum and hopefully have some mor…

(Quote) Haha that's easy for you to say. Fwiw, I decided to settle on GitHub and created a Wiki in one of my repositories. In the end, I didn't want to have to monitor/update/maintain any tech (stack) nor keep things hosted on some small vps/hosting…

(Quote) Likely you already have enough storage with 1x125GB. If you offer too gracious free storage limits you will end up being dmca filed rather frequently as people will more likely opt to store/host (illegal) media on there. That said, if you we…
