(Quote) Yeah, although ppl on mydealz said old accs could it get through invitation (?!). Not sure, if you have to invite someone else or I can invite you.

(Quote) Update: This became like a 10-reply ticket and escalation to customer complaints/satisfaction team, but finally everything worked out :) (Spoiler) TL;DR: A long ticket with various support agents involved through various shifts, some misund…

Seems like now you can mount your own ISOs and choose from a wide range of ISOs: (Image) It seems like they also added a better resource monitor in there Dashboard with stats up to 1 month :)

(Quote) Sounds good I guess :D

(Quote) I had the same (Finland and Germany server). They now offered to delete my lifetime server, refund me and allow me to order it again with the refunded money so I'll have it way ahead of the scheduled migration. Agreed. Was funny cuz they sai…

That's how it looks now. Still very basic, but it authenticated successfully to my pCloud account. Backup is currently being uploaded. 2.2TB free storage on pCloud. Let's goo :) (Image)

(Quote) When I used the wp plugin from pCloud when it released, it didn't work properly. Apparently now it does. Would be convenient. Got 2,5TB on pcloud lol. Gotta try it some day.

I asked if my Finland VPS could be migrated to an EPYC system and they said yes. So got a hw upgrade at least :)
-
Apparently pCloud WordPress Backup plugin now functions again: (Image) @bikegremlin maybe use as free backup? :P

(Quote) I think the more stable thing is just an excuse to move. My other guess is that remote hands just wasn't fast/affordable enough and in Germany they have their own DC. Will see what will happen to US locations.
-
(Quote) I picked Finland because uptime was more stable or at least less announced maintenance. But seems like it's Germany now.
-
Seems like Finland VPS are all re-located to Germany location. Finland location is unfortunately being discontinued.

On my phone I use Adguard DNS and sometimes adblocking dns servers in system/browser settings. On Windows, I use AdGuard Extension and in-browser adblock dns sometimes> @dosai said: (Quote) This is the reason I don't use it on systemwide dns l…

(Quote) Not sure anymore which options Updraft provides but keep us updated. After using it a couple of times, I almost never used aio wp again as I always had to find and upload my "pro" plugin, so Updraft was just easier.
-
(Quote) Yeah, that's what I've done when migrating with Updraft free iirc. * Backup on source site. Download backup files. * Create new wp install on destination hosting/domain * Install Updraft free, upload backup files and restore. I think th…

(Quote) That does work. Did it multiple times. They sell/used to sell(?!) an extra plugin extension for migration but that had extra features I guess. Moving from domain.com.to domain.xyz or sub.domain.com to domain.com never was an issue when I did…

Oh, that doesn't sound too well either: https://www.reddit.com/r/Wordpress/comments/1lzq464/warning_to_allinone_wp_migration_ltd_holders/ Fwiw WPVivid is developed by some guy from the LE community (forgot who) and also offers unlimited lifetime wi…

(Quote) I have definitely already used updraft free to import from domain x to domain y and also from domain to subdomain and vice versa. This should work and links are fixed automatically. Not sure about email domain changes, never had to do that p…

(Quote) To be fair I haven't used the plugin in a long while. Updraft Free did all the heavy lifting for me. Great plugin :)

(Quote) Since they're saying your license is valid maybe ask them to issue a new license code along with a new download linkand invalidate the old ones. Maybe that'll work.

(Quote) This is how it looks for a local install (not that bad tbh): Edit: Backup restore didn't work. Will have to check/prompt again some time. (Image) (Image)

(Quote) The screenshot preview was taken by the AI. It's not my dashboard. I need to give it a test-run still :P
-
(Quote) I test drived it on https://playground.wordpress.net/ and it loaded just fine but backup couldn't be restored. Could be due to limitations from the sandbox. I don't have a wp install to play around with setup rn, so I'll need to do that in s…

AI created this with a few prompts: (Image) Just gotta test it on a wp install some time :D

(Quote) A German Provider might not be the best choice for private linux isos. That said, if they are encrypted and remain on your server, I guess they might be your private backups.

(Quote) Yeah haha :D

(Quote) There's still that old version of the plugin flying around where limits could be liftened by editing constants.php file. The memories..

(Quote) That's annoying😅🙃

(Quote) Hm, that's indeed odd. Have you tried the "lost purchase" link I posted above? Had to fill in my email I used for the purchase and received a new download link. Then you can download and manually install (not update) probably.

(Quote) Hm that's odd. I didn't use it for a long time but just tried to install it on a wp install I have and it worked without issues. Step 1: Install AIO WP Migration Public plugin from WP Store. Step 2: Upload Unlimited Extension: (Image) P…

Performance depends on the host. Before lifetime anything do a thorough research of the host. Fwiw MyW lifetime performance was one of the best shared hostings I have used, sadly it ceased to exist. Zap Hosting offers lifetime webspace and has been …

(Quote) Thanks for the summary. Seems like Portainer isn't all too noble anymore, too.

(Quote) Seems like they're following the concept of UmbrelOS who also offer free software but try to push their hardware (that ships with their software). Tried CasaOS the other day (by Zimaspace team) and that one isn't commercialised (yet). Prett…

Just wiped my Futro S740 Homeserver and looking to install CasaOS along with Debian 13 or Ubuntu 24. Will see what it's gonna be. I've been an Ubuntu person, but I might try Debian this time (should be very similar in performance).
