About Us

We've had offers going all the way back to 2012 under our previous brand. We have rebranded into Layer (a registered company in Dubai, with trade license number 900809, and real offices) 3 years ago, and have been working really hard in Dubai with local businesses - where we are offering all in one service contracts for social media management, infrastructure management, web design services, hosting, and more. With a major focus on B2B.

We currently host our customers out of Dubai, Germany, New York, and we have just expanded into Spokane, WA!

This expansion will help us improve our service offerings, and provide additional services to the wider public, by shifting from our traditional B2B approach to B2B as well as B2C. Services for all!

And yes, we still do have many happy clients with active services from even before Layer! So, let's get to the offers!

Why Layer?

  • A real registered LLC in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, with an office and employees
  • Operating as Layer for 3 years now with many happy clients
  • Premium Hardware & Support
  • FREE Backups Included
  • Free DDOS Protection Included

F.A.Q

Q. What is allowed? What isn't?
A. TLDR; All legal services are welcome at Layer. We do NOT allow adult content, spam, phishing, hacking, DDoS, public proxies, mining, port scanning, TOR, IRC, and public tracker torrents on our network.

Q. What kind of support is provided?
A. Our products and services are completely unmanaged. Support will be limited to network and access related queries.

Q. Are these services activated immediately?
A. If this is your first order with us, the order will require passing our fraud checks. If you already have an active service with us, your new order will be provisioned automatically.

Q. Some IPs are geolocated to Dubai? What is this all about?!
A. We are waiting for some geo IP DB service providers to update the information on their side. You can verify your service location by a trace route if required.

Q. Do you limit any ports? Is mailing allowed?
A. By default port 25 is blocked. We can make exceptions if necessary.

Q. My order was rejected! Help!
A. The only time we will reject your order is when/if you used fake information or a VPN. Make sure all the details are correct, and you are using an IP matching your signup details. If you are still facing issues, please contact us.

Q. Are the resources dedicated to me?
A. No, they are provided to you on a fair share concept.

Q. Can you help me upload an ISO?
A. Certainly! Please open a ticket and provide us with the details.

Q. Are Windows Servers allowed?
A. Currently, we do not support Windows on our platform.

Q. Can I set my own rDNS?
A. Yes, rDNS can be set automatically in our VirtFusion control panel.

Q. Can you announce my IPs?
A. Certainly! Please open a ticket and provide us with the details.

Q. Your website lists services for social media management, creative content, photography, and web design. Are you a hosting provider or a creative agency?
A. Long gone are the days where you focus on one service, especially when our customers are expecting us to manage their social media, create their websites, manage the servers and infrastructure, and so on. This is why, we, as Layer decided to provide all our services publicly on our website for both our B2B and our B2C customers.

Q. My question is not listed here .. what can I do?
A. Please contact us.

Don’t register multiple accounts, dont use city in america, with country as australia and a phone number in the bahamas … of course it won’t go through.

Open a support ticket, and we are more than happy to help if you have used a vpn to register, as long as your personal details are accurate we will accept your order.

FAQ says "All legal services are welcome at Layer" and then list Internet relay chat among illegal services. Imho they just don't know what one of the oldest still active internet communication protocol is :)
But okay, there's still 98% other hosts who don't have problems with it.

I’m very well aware of IRC, and I do use it regularly.

Our TOS is generalized to work in and for all our locations. If an upstream doesn’t allow IRC, then we have that covered.

And yes, there’s still many skids who will ddos any IP they find “because lulz” …

Many? This is certainly not true. Many people will ddos websites, forums etc... but IRC today? IRC changed a lot since its peak in 2004 or so.
There's a slim chance that you will get ddos if you do shit around, annoy the wrong people, hang with some dubious people on some obscure network, etc ... but apart from that no one will give a shit about you and that's a fact. Not to mention that apart from two old idle dinosaurs EFnet and IRCnet big majority of irc networks spoof IPs today.
I hang at IRCnet which used to be a battle zone 20 - 25 years ago. Today no one gives a shit about us, old idling farts there.

I mean okay, I understand if upstream doesn't allow it, or you don't feel comfortable about it and stuff, but please don't spread fake stuff about it. There's a bigger chance that you will get hit by the car within the next 7 days than get ddos at IRC within the next 10 years - unless you're problematic troublemaker, but this apply to everything in life. To stay on the safe side we should prohibit also personal blogs and forums.
But like said, I am not disputing your rights what you want or don't want to host at your servers.

Ah, I have to be more clear with my wording. The last part was more general, and not specific to IRC.

Currently, IRC is prohibited by one of our upstreams, but might be able to allow it with the others. Nonetheless, I am happy to discuss this with my partners, and revise the ToS if required.

In case you go that route in the future, you can still prohibit IRCd servers or linking servers to the major IRC network, etc ... but allow non problematic personal IRC usage (clients, bouncers...). This is the compromise some hosts do and it seems like it works okay for them.

Anyway, enough from me about this. Decent offers above, I wish you a good sale! :)

I know - when cloak sync actually works ... for a few OPN servers :)
But it doesn't really matter. People there mostly idle. Network is in deep coma.
