I am not sure that crunchbits can do a bgp session for crunchy? Maybe bgp is not available for the class of crunchbits servers of which crunchy is a member? Maybe, if bgp were available for crunchy, crunchbits would have been able to give crunchy a crunchbits /48?
@crunchbits, could you please clarify whether Otus' IPv6/48 could be announced by crunchbits and added to crunchy? And, if yes, whether bird2 or equivalent would need to be installed on crunchy?
Thanks Otus! Thanks crunchbits!
I asked before.
You need to post a photo of wearing Crunchbits red shirt in public.
Then you get BGP session.

How could we do it without me giving anyone root access just yet?
You can restrict sudo access to only birdc and pathvector commands.
If bird2 is packaged same way as Debian, you can also give bird group membership only.

I wouldn't want to violate the tnc of MetalVPS so prefer me at last and I if I get a portion of the server then I might use it for the intended cause or else I would be lying. Sorry for starting up the huge conversation without carefully reading the tnc.

@darkhorse73 You are always very welcome! If you stick around maybe you can learn a little about what you do not know. Everyone has to start at the beginning. In needing to take the first step, and then in needing to keep going, you are just like all of the rest of us!

Will crunchbits do bgp sessions and provide transit for crunchy so that we could use a /48 from Otus and maybe also a /48 from @terrorgen without eating @terrorgen's bandwidth?

your use case for crunchy;
running proxy servers, dns servers, a minecraft server (if the resources sufficient), bunch of api's probably, telegram/discord bots. i literally just love hosting as many stuff as i can fit into a server
estimated CPU, RAM, Disk, and Bandwidth usage;
2cores and 4gigs of ram would be ideal 1-2tb of bandwidth would be enough but really ill just run possible services based off the given resources so im fine with anything
open source OS and OS version that you will use to connect to crunchy; plus
debian 10/11/12- ubuntu 18/20/22 (preferably debian 12)
indicia of your commitment to our beautiful Low End, to computer learning and fun, and to open source.
im willing to share everything i'll be learning in the process and helping others enjoy and learn as much as i do!

ah thats unfortunate, they mentioned its up till nov 8 2024 thought it might still be available
Admittedly, it's often not easy to quickly see which MetalVPS products advertised in the past are still available!
That said, as far as I can tell, the product advertised in this thread (which dates from November 2023) was re-advertised in the following thread (from March 2024) with slightly different conditions:
"A single swap file or partition may be up to 128 MB in size. [...] [I]f you need 256 MB of swap, you can create two 128-MB swap partitions." (M. Welsh & L. Kaufman, Running Linux, 2e, 1996, p. 49)

It's very generous of you to offer to help in this wonderful way even though it might cause your server to eat crunchy's bandwidth!
I hope everyone gets the servers they want!
