I haven’t checked with support about this yet, but I don’t believe it’s possible, as all the other similar '1111' packages in different datacenters are currently out of stock. Even the one I have is out of stock now—these are part of the special '11th birthday deals.'

I actually purchased this VPS on the 14th of October (8 days ago). Initially, the project I was working on was based on Vue, but it's now shifted to WordPress. While this VPS is powerful with 6 cores and 11 GB RAM, a high-frequency VPS (like 7750X or 9950X) would be better suited for WordPress, which is why I'm considering transferring it.

  • Location change is not permitted on these special discounted packages, FYI

So a change in tech stack happens just randomly ?
    Is vue less respurce intensive?

  • I will take it for USD $100.01 via PayPal G&S, seller pays transaction fee.

Changes in tech stacks can happen for various reasons, often based on project requirements and goals. While Vue is generally lighter in terms of resource usage for front-end tasks, WordPress can be more demanding, especially when using more plugins.

The VPS costs $111 for 3 years. Based on the remaining time, the cost for 2 years and 357 days of service would be $110 [PayPal (buyer pays fees) or UPI India (no fees)].

I originally paid $116.50 for this VPS via PayPal, and I will cover the $10 server transfer fee. I hope you can understand my position regarding the pricing.

If you're open to adjusting the offer, I’d be happy to discuss further.

The VPS costs $111.00 for 3 years.
The provider offered a 11% bonus on account credit deposits prior to 2024-10-14. Hence, we would have paid $100.00 if we bought the VPS from the provider directly.
Additionally, we would earn 5% rewards from Chase Freedom Flex credit card.

Our offer is $0.01 more than what we would have paid the provider, despite the service time has been reduced by 8 days.
PayPal G&S (seller pays fee) would allow us to earn the same 5% rewards from credit card.

We hope you can understand our position regarding the offer.

The extra charge is due to the different exchange rates applied by PayPal, where they used

    ₹ 9,794.03 INR = $ 111.00 USD
    1 INR = $ 0.0113 USD

while the standard rate is $1 USD = ₹84.05 INR.

Thank you for your offer and for sharing your perspective. I appreciate your interest in the VPS, but I’d like to clarify a few points. While the 11% bonus offer was indeed valid, I didn’t receive that discount and paid the full amount. Therefore, adjusting the price based on a discount I didn’t benefit from isn’t feasible.

I understand that you might earn 5% rewards through your Chase Freedom Flex credit card, but this is a personal financial benefit. Since I paid the full price and didn’t receive any such rewards, adjusting the price based on them wouldn’t be practical for me either.

If I were to accept your offer of $100.01 with PayPal G&S (seller pays fees), after PayPal’s fees, I would only receive $95.13. With the additional $10 transfer fee, that would leave me with $85.13, meaning I’d essentially be paying $31.37 ($116.50 - $85.13) for just 8 days of VPS usage, which I don’t find reasonable.

I’m open to discussing a fair price, but I can’t accept an offer that significantly undervalues what I originally paid. Thank you for understanding.

Thanks for checking. Also just noticed this, which would've been a no-go for me as well:

    CPU Usage
CPU cores on KVM VPS are shared among multiple VPSs. If your VPS is consistently maxing out one full core or more and impacting the performance of other client servers sharing the same host node, we may ask you to reduce your usage. Disruptive load may result in a reboot, shutdown, and/or suspension of the VPS regardless of the time lapse involved. 30% Average Usage should be fine. You can burst up to 100% for 10 minutes, every 24 hours.

    Resource Usage
    Any user may not:

    a) Use 100% or more of system resources for longer than 10 minutes.
    b) Run any gaming servers such as counter-strike, half-life, battlefield1942, etc
    c) Run TOR in any shape
    d) Streaming/Live Streaming

We appreciate your interest in selling the VPS, but we’d like to clarify a few points.
While you didn't receive the 11% bonus offer and paid the full amount, it was indeed valid that a perspective buyer would have taken advantage of.
Therefore, adjusting the offer based on a discount that the seller missed out isn’t feasible.

We understand that you paid the full price and didn't receive any rewards from your credit card issuer, but this is a personal financial choice.
Since the VPS is now idle due to your misunderstanding of technical directions for your website, not adjusting the price based on them would result in the VPS rotting in the hands of big yellow cow months later.

If we were to accept your price of $110 with PayPal F&F (buyer pays fees), after PayPal’s fees, we would pay $114.30.
With the subtracted 8 days of service time, that would mean we’d essentially be paying $14.30 ($114.30 - $100.00) for negative 8 days of VPS usage, which we don’t find reasonable.

We're open to discussing a lowball offer, but we can’t accept a price that significantly overvalues what we would have paid.
    Thank you for understanding.

  • One more caveat - promo VPSs can't be transferred immediately after purchase (I think this is to prevent scalpers). They have to be at least 1 month old before they can be transferred out. Please check with Greencloud support before proceeding with the transfer since you have bought it quite recently.

    Thank you for understanding.

The VPS cost is $111 for 3 years, making the daily cost approximately $0.10136. The cost for 8 days is $0.81088, so the fair adjusted price would be $110.18 ($111 - $0.81088). I rounded this to $100 + $10 transfer fee in my original offer to keep the negotiation simple.

$111 for 3 years (VPS price)
$110.18 (adjusted price after subtracting 8 days)

The buyer can choose PayPal (buyer pays fees) or UPI India (no fees).
$110 (asking price based on the adjusted 8 days) + $5.32 (PayPal fee if the buyer chooses PayPal) = $115.32 total. This ensures that when the buyer sends $110 + $5.32 (PayPal fee), I receive the full $110 (adjusted for 8 days).

To further clarify: If I were to accept an offer of $100.01 with PayPal G&S (seller pays fees), after PayPal’s fees, I would only receive $95.13. With the additional $10 transfer fee, I’d be left with $85.13, meaning I’d end up paying $31.37 ($116.50 - $85.13) for just 8 days of VPS usage.

On the other hand, if a buyer accepts my price of $110 and chooses PayPal F&F, the buyer would only be paying an additional $5.32 (buyer pays fees).

I used the PayPal conversion information from this site https://weareindy.com/paypal-fee-calculator. Please let me know if it’s incorrect.

Regarding the "misunderstanding of technical directions" and "yellow cow" remarks, these are irrelevant to the transaction and only serve to derail the discussion. If you're genuinely interested in purchasing the VPS, I welcome a professional discussion about the price. However, if your intention is to mock or dismiss, I suggest we end this conversation here.

    b) Run any gaming servers such as counter-strike, half-life, battlefield1942, etc
    c) Run TOR in any shape
    d) Streaming/Live Streaming

This is why it is no-go for many folks

Use 100% or more of system resources for no longer than 10 minutes for every 24 hour window

That and no game servers either. Apart from idling, not much use imho.

EDIT: Unless... do they allow transfer to Amsterdam, Frankfurt, Paris or UK DC?

I haven’t checked with support about this yet, but I don’t believe it’s possible, as all the other similar '1111' packages in different datacenters are currently out of stock. Even the one I have is out of stock now—these are part of the special '11th birthday deals.'

Location change is not permitted on these special discounted packages, FYI

Thanks for checking. Also just noticed this, which would've been a no-go for me as well:

    CPU Usage
CPU cores on KVM VPS are shared among multiple VPSs. If your VPS is consistently maxing out one full core or more and impacting the performance of other client servers sharing the same host node, we may ask you to reduce your usage. Disruptive load may result in a reboot, shutdown, and/or suspension of the VPS regardless of the time lapse involved. 30% Average Usage should be fine. You can burst up to 100% for 10 minutes, every 24 hours.

  • I'm sure this has nothing to do with the security breach or as they initially told all of us out on that san jose node, a raid failure. Listen, they're great servers just don't host anything you'd lose money on if it went down. I use it to run scripts and dick around with new ideas to offload processes for my trusted servers. Btw that san jose node is fast. no lie. just also, it's still down.. so right now i'd say it's somewhat slow.

    Thanked by (1)vikram
  • I haven’t had any issues with my VPS (Nodename EPYCSJC3)

overall VPS resources are pretty good $$$ value even if overall cpu usage is controlled to max 60%

    average $3 /month for this

6 fair-share EPYC Milan cores CPU
    11GB RAM
    111GB NVMe 4.0 RAID-10 SSD
    11TB Bandwidth
