We should maybe add in something that moves open WHMCS tabs to our homepage after some time, or would that be too annoying? Actually I'm not sure if it's even possible to do efficiently. I need to remember again how the ban logic works very specifically to see what page(s) need to be targeted.
Not sure how you have implemented the captcha/ban logic, but I guess it would make sense that when the session expires, it automatically redirects a user to another page (which is not behind any captcha or ban logic) and it just states something along the lines that their session has expired with a link to take them back to the login page.
I'm about to majorly mess with the backend notifications. This will (1) break backend notifications hardcore, (2) mess it up to where if you don't reload the frontend (vps.blackfriday) after the updates it won't send you any or I don't know, (3) could probably cause a lot of other problems related to not having the page open and expecting to receive alerts, and/or even accidentally bring up these notifications when they shouldn't appear on the frontend.
I'll let you guys know when it's all done so you can do a reload and then report any bugs. Until then any weirdness with it is expected.
The deal page is a bit of a disaster, with CPU rev up high if I keep the page open.
Feels like the page in mining bitcoins, I think we could do with a bit less graphics.

Due to the way caching works after a restart it takes a bit for it to re-establish the connection and without a connection it's set to keep reloading until it finds one.

It's these things that do most the damage.
Added a toggle box to disable it, might not be available on all devices/views and it might cause other unintended bugs. I'll fix it later maybe. But I think it works okay right now, maybe. Might need a reload.
Edit -- Actually I might be wrong about that, seems like it's definitely a little of everything. We even have two sets of constant animations on the entire background. I'll slowly add in other stuff to this toggle.
Updates to backend notifications have been pushed out. Reload your frontend. It should now try to respect your notification settings for backend notifications too. I don't know if it works or not, it does appear to be working in terms of logs though, I just don't know if it's actually sending anything as I've had the frontend open. Let me know.
Picked up a small storage- that concludes (hopefully) by BF 2024 with Virmach... the VPS offers are great but not my cup of tea, location/ spec wise. Best wishes to the remaining time/ sales....

It seems to have muted all notifications. Front and back!!
Sigh now I need to rely on other sources foe notifications 😒 😪 🙄 😕 😑

I've definitely been getting frontend notifications after the update, and no backend ones (as expected, I was previously affected by a bug that displayed backend on the frontend but didn't have anyone else confirming that.)
Testing to see if backend ones send now (for me.)
I'm seeing a lot of logs that indicate people haven't reloaded the frontend though, but more of them that show it successfully updated to a new subscription. Also seeing logs that show notification settings. Looking back at the logs I do actually see notifications being sent out as well.
Edit -- Okay it sent but not received, looking into it. Sent just means considered for sending, it might be the new filters (maybe something like percentage off being miscalculated.)
Okay fixed. I received a notification, logs look pretty good. For example this was for plan 410. I'm not going to touch it any further by the way but I wanted to add in plan number and possibly do improved grouping.
It's 2048MB RAM. Someone didn't receive notification because they set it above that. Another excluded because it exceeded their max price requirement of $0. Another excluded due to location, although I would recommend not using location filters right now for backend just in case as I'm not a hundred percent sure on that.

Have reset all filters to default... let's see if foreground/ background notifications drop in.

I have raised ticket #606940 - billing related, whenever you get a chance.. Thanks

Seems to have started working in background. But do not see the plan number if added.

Haven't added plan number as I didn't want to introduce any more problems but we might end up pushing another fix to try to make it appear more as expected, as I'm still getting both frontend and backend notifications right now which isn't intended when you have frontend open. Good thing is any future fixes won't be as disruptive hopefully, it won't clear your subscription, or shouldn't do that.
But yeah still in beta so anything can break and I won't feel that bad about it.
can you please help me check what happened to invoice #1662761? It seems to be stuck for some unknown reason as the services ordered since then have been delivered.
done,After sending, I checked my mailbox again and found that it had been shipped. Thank you again for your help.

Backend notifications have been pretty much fully fixed as far as the known issues go. No longer fire off incorrectly when you have the frontend open (unless your browser puts the tab to sleep in some unexpected way.) it's also pretty reliable at updating your settings but you should wait at least 15 seconds after updating them before closing out so they're set. Actually I went ahead and added a green bubble that lets you know background preferences have been updated.

If it lets you pay, then pay and contact me just in case anything went wrong. If it doesn't and you wanted to pay and it ran into issues, contact me and I can bill you for it (but you have to have card on file, not sure if that works with Gpay so probably have to add credits.)

I'll just save the hassle and use a card instead. will try and see if it gets provisioned automatically.
Big typo found in the plan generator, which was causing bigger plans to end up smaller. Some examples would be 3.5GB* / 4 Core / 150GB disk ending up as 2GB, 3 Core, 90 disk and 12GB RAM getting turned into 6GB, etc.
Not sure what plans will look like after this but I may have to go back and rework some of the logic I changed earlier to try to skew it toward larger plans if they end up unintentionally more lopsided. Otherwise it's possible these would have also been even higher disk, but thee disk is actually already weighed down in this logic so I think that explains at least part of our older problem.
@nullnothere said: It's mostly looking at balanced offers from the VirBot vs other BF offers around. Something like a 2-4 vCPU/4GB RAM/60GB Disk/5TB BW at roughly 20-25 USD (or EUR, stretch a bit) equivalent is very reasonable and attractive and I'd even hazard reasonably "frequent" during BF across locations.
I think the issue is that the higher RAM offers tend to be higher disk so they don't end up in that price range as frequently. I'll see if I can tune things to where it's more plausible for that to exist in that "sweet spot" as I bet a lot of other people would also be interested.
Like that $33-45 offer in San Jose recently could have been $20-25 if it wasn't with 180GB disk and it was 14TB data, 3.8GB memory, 3 cores, and then multiple others that would have hit that target if they weren't 200-250GB disk.
I'm actually going to poke around in the generator a bit right now, and let's see what it spits out instead. I was too late for the generations that were coming right up so it'll be like a few hours later on the next batch. Let me know if it improves.
