I've tried it and the answer is no from within the customer area; you have to open a ticket for an upgrade to keep the promo (according to an answer on the OGF).

    • Are the cores dedicated? Cannot see any mention of fair-share.
    • Can I upgrade to a bigger plan at the same promotional rate?

They mentioned on OGF that yes it can be upgraded with the promotional rate

Nice. Now whay about fair use policy for cores...

@hostsailor I'm wondering about the same thing because I'm tempted to get one of the heftier packages, but core utilization policy is important to know.

There is nothing in their AUP and ToS about CPU~

I know, I read through them and couldn't find anything. That's why I finally caved and posted to ask. Full cores? Worth it. 0.3% core use allowed? Not as interesting.

Anyone else get a non-requested password reset email just now?

I'm guessing nobody else got one of these? Kind of concerning, I got it several hours after I had bought it, but I never requested it myself, and my email combination should not be super guessable for someone to randomly input it. But maybe it's related to the issue with all the emails not going out for a bit?

  • Change the Inter PRO/1000 card to a Virtio network card in the control panel, and you might be pleasantly surprised.

I am all in for fair use.

But the reason for the question is to demystify any myths. Plus it reduces surprises in future.

One of the few hosts that does not list our any policy for fair usage if applicable. Leading to others bite this on technicalities nothing is mentioned.

I want good neighbors and hence asking.

  • The network is still bad. It was perfect at first, but now 15-30% packet loss for over 5 hours.

True. That should always be the case. Would be a plus to have a clear policy defined.

I'll add you to a list of LeSbians that are on the verge of being offended by my actions.
