Low price / free service for sending newsletters (non spammy)

Hello everyone,

If I want to have a newsletter signup for my website (or multiple websites), is there a good low-cost email service that I can use that won't end up in Spam?

Can we use MXRoute or CraneMail or OnePoundEmail for this?

Is it possible to do with shared hosting? Setting up SMPTP or something? Or with a VPS?

I would want to send email only to those subscribed to the newsletters, and not send email to those who did not ask for it. So how can I configure to send an email verification first, and only subscribe to those who verify, and also there should be way to unsubscribe.

I would also like to keep the newsletter of high quality (to the best I can), and also not violate any terms of service of the email provider.

I am currently not running any newsletters at the moment, so will be starting from zero. I see many offer free services (services like MailChimp) upto certain number of subscribers - however the problem is that even the cheapest paid plan is very expensive, and I was wondering if I can do it with providers from LES.

What would you recommend are good options? What do you use yourself?

  • @Ion3198 You can use MXRoute if its double opt-in .

Shared hosting can also be used by configuring SMTP. I have used Acymailing to send newsletters from shared hosting long time ago.

  • Add everyone into Google Groups / Yahoo! Groups.
    Write email to the group.

    No hostname left!

  • For transactional emails:

Brevo has free 3,000 email per month.
Zoho has pay-as-you-go tier. you get 10,000 emails for free.

I have no idea about LET email providers, and what they might be able to offer.

give it a shot, its pretty cheap too like SES and doesn't require extensive verification. ip quality is good.
2,5 eur for 10k emails with 300/mo for free.

    Is it 3000/month or 300/day?

They also promise some "SMS & WhatsApp campaigns".

I run a fairly large website and had good luck running my own mail server on Frantech. I don't think you'll have any issues with namecrane email however if you need more volume running your own may be an option / your only choice.

Your biggest hurdle is cleaning up IP rep if you're using most low end hosts as a lot of hosts do not put in dis-incentives for trashing rep in their ToS.

  • I use Sendy with Amazon SES

  • @MichaelCee onepoundmail It is ok with them if I do not remember bad and it is dirty cheapo. Go with him ( double check with him about that option )

    Thanked by (1)MichaelCee

I believe in good luck. Harder that I work ,luckier i get.
