HostSlick deadpool?

I don't know if I am the only one with this problem but I have opened a support ticket with a trivial request (mounting an ISO) on hostslick support on Aug 9th.
I bumped it on the 14th and at some point it seems the ticket just got closed with absolutely no reply from the team.

Anyone else with the same issues?

  • Tagging @HostSlick - maybe their representative here may help.

Please stop the planet! I wish to get off!

  • Yep, including me, ticket ignored too. Many users in LET reporting VPS down and no response to ticket.

  • The end is nigh.

Economy in EU is going from bad to worse. I can't blame @HostSlick for going down, but they would be quite respectful in simply sending an email notification towards all customers with some emergency time for migration.

Never make the same mistake twice. There are so many new ones to make.
It’s OK if you disagree with me. I can’t force you to be right.

That's a shame. Personally, I was never a fan of HostSlick. I tried them last year, but the performance was abysmal. Disk I/O was only in the single-digit MB/s range. When I complained, he said he was aware of the issue and (quote, from the email I looked up) was "planning to migrate that system to a better node in around one month."

After two months, the situation still wasn't resolved, and the upgrade date turned into the classic "soon™." He then offered a refund, which I appreciated, but it took six weeks to process.

Ticket response times averaged around 14 days as well. I'm not sure if this is his side hustle or his main business. Given the amount of hardware he operates, I would expect it to be his main business, but I can’t say for certain. I hope he's doing well though.

  • Asking if a host is going to deadpool when there's a slow ticket response or their web site has a temporary issue is way over-dramatic.

2 month response time, hardware issues, delayed deployments, disappearing VMs, numerous sales despite saying they'll leave LET last year, unpaid hardware. It's a shithost.

  • I think you people are getting trolled. Just got the next mail:

    etc...

  • Got that promo email and laughed after having read this thread this morning. I only have a several-year-old "lifetime" shared hosting with HostSlick so I'm personally not super affected if they deadpool, but man, that timing, lol.
