BanatSync joins LES
Hello LES Community
We're here to introduce BanatSync a "new" provider in the game, not really new since the company is 10 months old, soon reaching 1 year of existence.
Our mission is simple: To offer quality hosting, at the lowest prices and enterprise-tier DDoS protection for our clients.
We're not gonna make a classic introduction with lot of bullshit and fancy talking about our company. We're direct and honest
Some details about the company:
Made in Nov 21 2024, gained popularity starting from February 2025.
Our actual setup is 2 nodes
1 Ryzen 9 9950X Game-Dedicated and one Intel XEON E5-2699 V3 Dedicated (used for web-host and other light stuff)
Our homepage is: https://banatsync.com
And that's pretty much it, thanks for taking your time reading this.
Wishing all the best,
Milian.

@cociu ?
The cert is invalid for their main domain?
Got some weird DDOS protection on their website as well?
Ya, no, i'll stay FAR AWAY

Firefox detected a potential security threat and did not continue to banatsync.com. If you visit this site, attackers could try to steal information like your passwords, emails, or credit card details.

hostname is available. affbrrYour website seems to be broken, brother.
Seems like they misconfigured their domains.

What a summerhost.
Yeah, sorry about that seems like our mitigator messed up the main domain's configuration. It should be fixed now.
Can you be more specific? What is weird in it ? It's just like cloudflare's turnstile or any normal ddos protection challange. It is meant to protect our site from bots
We're very far from that, but hey thanks anyways
Still down/not loading for me.

It should be solved now, if not let me know, it works in Romania at least.
It also keeps people away. If i load the website and get hit with a "solve this captcha" and a button that says "click here to auto solve", my first question is why the button does not activate on page load automatically so i dont have to click things? Moreover it's colors are more intrusive then cloudflare ones (or maybe I got used to that). If i see the cloudflare thing on a site I visit for the first time, I, like many users, will NOT go back there.
Btw, not sure about now, but last time I checked, your site's translation isn't working either. If you are focusing on a more international crowd, fix that first and set english as default (or ask on first visit what language they prefer). If you want to cater mainly for Romanians, then the language being that by default is fine.

There's an arguably better software for this called Anubis (https://github.com/TecharoHQ/anubis) which is being widely used in a lot of websites nowadays and does the same thing as what the host currently has but far better.
That however, is totally personal choice. I have gotten used to it and I am fine with it because I have been DDoSed multiple times, and I'd rather have everyone solve a captcha than bring in downtime. If I lose customers by doing that, that is just the price I pay for not reducing downtime.

Why would it cause downtime? Are you hosting your billing panel & main website on the same server as you are hosting your clients? I thought the standard practice was to have it hosted separately from the server where you put your clients?

Before you criticise others so much, you should get your own (American) English sorted out!
Your sig: "Never make the same mistake twice." You repeatedly misuse then instead of than!
It wisnae me! A big boy done it and ran away.

Downtime of billing panel and main website is equally unhealthy as the downtime of the client servers. What?
youtube.com/watch?v=k1BneeJTDcU
Off-topic, but I have seen that more and more people are making the mistake of using "then" in place of "than". Is this a pronunciation error that also translates into writing, and then gets propagated through social media? Although, I have seen more Americans make this mistake than Europeans.

Yep, this is the problem. The English (not UK) are just as bad with their brought instead of bought and the pronunciation of "..ng" - example: borinG_uh_.
It becomes "the norm", through default use - not good as part of the dumbing down of society. Even *nix has adopted the use of 'folders' for directories, FFS!

Welcome @Milian to this community and I hope you have a successful application for provider tag. When requesting for that provider tag, please also request a change of your username into "BanatSync", because it will be easier for members here to remember you and tag you later on.
I wish you good luck with sales and hopefully we will see some awesome deals.
I am curious what datacenters you have as locations, because you seem to have a bit of tight terms (not allowing VPN, not allowing mining on dedicated servers, not allowing free speech, suspension based on suspicion, suspension on account sharing). Since you do not allow copyright content either, I strongly guess you do not own cloud services in Romania either - a country which is known to be somewhat popular for torrenting. This makes me a bit curious with respect to your datacenters and where these are located.
Please stop the planet! I wish to get off!
Thank you! I would like to apply for provider tag but first I think I need more posts or something, as I've read in the Rules, if I misunderstood, my apologies
Also let me answer some of your questions
Our infrastructure details:
Mining - Mining is only permitted with prior approval via support ticket. Otherwise, it is prohibited.
Suspension based on suspicion - We only suspend services when there is strong evidence of abuse. For example, in one case we observed abnormal CPU usage and later received confirmation from our colocation provider about an outbound DDoS attack originating from that VPS. We first investigate and gather evidence before taking action, and clients are notified promptly.
Account sharing is restricted as an anti-resell measure.
But I got you to fix it for me!
Jokes aside, ya, I gave up on the correct use of then/than long ago. Now just waiting for every site to integrate AI into their message box that will fix spelling & grammar for me.
