yeap, currently asking them for a refund of the additional fee since they're refusing to migrate to any of their US locations that have the exact same fee (which would be the fair approach IMO).
Not that Finland was actually good tbh... network was terrible and was just a scuffed tunnel to Frankfurt.

I picked Finland because uptime was more stable or at least less announced maintenance. But seems like it's Germany now.

I also received the information by email, but I can’t really understand why this is being done, as I was "satisfied" with it - there were hardly any downtimes. It’s a pity that this location is being shut down. I hope there won’t be more to follow.😔

I think the more stable thing is just an excuse to move. My other guess is that remote hands just wasn't fast/affordable enough and in Germany they have their own DC. Will see what will happen to US locations.
I asked, after 1000 failed attempts, to get moved to any of their other locs and finally they said yeah.
But quite scummy to say "Contract and price conditions remain unchanged." when the contract has indeed changed, and the price would be -10% since you have to pay extra for Helsinki.

Considering they completely ditched aurologic in Eygelshoven, and PLETX cannot provide Finland, probably there's no good alternatives there / too costly for a very low customer base. (they were using IPXO leased subnets there)
They use their own subnets in their US locs apparently, so I guess that one might survive for longer, but not 100% sure. In their own ASN they already have Ashburn, but Dallas (and LA too IIRC) still remains in Tier.net ASN, ...
I'm pretty annoyed by this change personally. I have two lifetimes with them, one in Finland and the other in...Germany. So now I will just have two lifetimes in the same datacenter I guess? Kind of aggravating, but oh well. Hopefully the supposed Epyc upgrade that's "coming soon" will actually get here at some point!

I had the same (Finland and Germany server).
They now offered to delete my lifetime server, refund me and allow me to order it again with the refunded money so I'll have it way ahead of the scheduled migration. Agreed. Was funny cuz they said they'd refund as Zap Balance and I said usually you can't buy lifetime servers with Zap Coins, but they'll make an exception. Unfortunately, I can't use my amassed Zap Coins of 73€ to get more resources since they come from coupons. So I'll just have to order the same specs again, but at least faster than waiting for the migration. Support is trying to help and responds fast, too. They can't promise new deployments will be on EPYC immediately, but all Germany servers are apparently migrated to EPYC at some point.

Just FYI, base VPS are now 4 cores instead of 2 cores and 1 Gbps instead of 500 Mbps

Welp, I tried. Guess I'll have two in Germany now, lol.
The migration of your server will occur automatically to FFM/Eygelshoven. An explicit selection of a different location is not possible, especially since we do not offer an alternative location for this product in Europe.

Update: This became like a 10-reply ticket and escalation to customer complaints/satisfaction team, but finally everything worked out
It started with me reaching out and asking if my vps could be moved to EPYC systems once the Finland location would be closed and moved, however I mentioned there is no rush. Anyway, a good support agent (who probably only meant good) offered me to accelerate the migration by deleting my old lifetime product (2vCores, 8GB RAM, 25GB SSD, 500 Mbits) and refunding me the 79€ as account balance, so I can simply re-order the vps in the Germany location. When I mentioned that as far as I am aware lifetime products couldn't be ordered with ZapCoins (aka account balance) and if I'd even be able to order a lifetime vps then, they said they'd make an exception and allow my account temporarily to order with ZapCoins. So far so good. Having collected all these free coupons for ZAP coins, I am looking at 70€ unused ZapCoins, so I asked them whether I could use these in my one-off ZapCoin order to get more specs but they said, like before I could just get the base configuration (which my vps before was too) but explicitly stated I'd be able to select 8GB of RAM instead of 4GB which two of their agents confirmed (I assumed this was because the base spec maybe has changed). So, I finally gave the go-ahead, my idle Finland vserver (some time ago reinstalled and didn't set it up again yet) got deleted and one of their support agents gave me the go-ahead to order (again with 8GB RAM base config). Now, two things happened: First, they refunded me 79€ in ZapCoins, but the new base config costs 83€ now. Luckily I had lots of ZapCoins from vouchers on reserve so I didn't mind using them for the small difference, however when trying to do so I got an error message that my account was only cleared to spend 79€ with ZAPCoins (seems they didn't clear my account for one order but also for a specific amount). Secondly, the base config now seems to come with 4vCores, 4GB RAM, 25GB NVMe and 1Gbit/s. So I had to select 8GB RAM to get my 8GB RAM back (remember, I had 2vCores, 8GB RAM, 25GB SSD, 500 Mbits). However, then the price was at 106€ (an upgrade which I could still have paid with my ZAPCoins from vouchers), however I wasn't cleared for that yet. Sooo.. I reached out stating the issue at hand and I would have enough ZAPCoins for the upgrade, however then I was suddenly told by another support agent that I could only order for 79€ and they'd generously adjust the limit to 83€ due to their price hike. I said that's nice and all, but that's not what I agreed to. I'd rather have 8GB RAM (my original specs) than 4vCores instead of 2 and referred to two separate support agents that confirmed I'd get 8GB RAM before I gave the go-ahead to this "deal". The ticket was then escalated to some customer success manger/complaints section and they seem to have agreed with me because I received an order mail and a new vServer in my Dashboard in Germany location with 4vCores, 8GB RAM, 25GB NVMe and 1Gbit/s It's worth noting that at no point any of ZAP Staff was being rude and they were all clearly being nice and trying to help but since the ticket sort of got 10 replies from various agents throughout day and night and separate shifts maybe some things got missed, and I luckily ended up with better specs then before. Just gotta log in the vps these days and see if I'm on an EPYC system. So yeah, this is a story how a misunderstanding gave me a resource upgrade (and possibly hw)
TL;DR: A long ticket with various support agents involved through various shifts, some misunderstandings and maybe a bit of luck ended up in better specs (2vCores 8GB RAM, 25GB SSD, 500 Mbits vs now 4vCores, 8GB RAM, 25GB NVMe, 1Gbit/s) for me and likely a hw upgrade (gotta ssh into the vps and check if its epyc).
