It works...until it doesn't.
Stay on the bus or get off the bus. Decisions, decisions.
I'm glad we live in a world where those kind of choices are still individual and not collective.
We can all enjoy that premise while we still have it.
Do they even reply to tickets now? The last time I faced issue was in Nov 2024 where I had to open a ticket and they promptly replied. Ever since both VPS are working fine. I opened ticket for affiliate withdrawal, but they ignored it both times. (opened twice in 10 months). So, I am wondering are the services working on auto or have they actually replied to someone when there is some issue?

Last time I opened a ticket was June and it was responded to quickly. So more recent than you but not recent.

Generally, if you bought the service before they started posting about restricting 25, it either won't be restricted in the first place, or you can open a ticket to have it lifted. but also, don't use virmach for hosting your primary mail, it's really only good for alerting about system issues, and there's zero promise that you'll be on a good IP. your mail is not going to get delivered from here, if you're counting on a $7 special to handle your email, you need to look to mxroute.

Never thinking of renewing my @VirMach stuff. Unfortunately, my account credit did.
Skill issue? If you had it flagged for cancellation, it won't generate an invoice or pull out of your credit. If you know you aren't renewing it, why not already have it flagged to cancel? They stay usable while the request is pending.
Virmach's best feature is that you can cancel and remove cancellation automatically... so you could leave it to the last day and remove the cancellation and pay if you wanted to give yourself the maximum amount of time to think it over.
I have five fantastic deals in Los Angeles, which will most likely not get renewed as I can't really use them when they are flopping all the time. Sad days. On the bright side I still have eleven good VPS from Vir to renew. More than anything I wonder what happened to the guy to make him disappear like this. Wishing him the best, and thanks for all those good years.

Thanks. I've got mxroute but I would use it for example for site emails if I was doing ecommerce or something like that. What about port 80, are they strict on that?
i've been with them since 2018, so I am not ready (yet) to completely abandon them. Uptime on some of their servers has been excellent and better than some of the more premium providers I have had, but of course YMMW here wildly.

3 days are nothing.. mine in LA is down for almost 3 months. Was offline for 1 month, came online for couple days and went downhill again..

It was good while it lasted. I got the best performance for a storage server and it was so cheap.
I still have 2 more VPSes and a dedicated server in my account.
I'm not gonna lie, I'm a bit worried about the dedi, but it's working fine.
full time.. in those 3 months came only once for 3/4 days, its on LAXA017 node

I am considering letting them go.
Thanks
Is it a bad idea that I just renewed VirMach services
食之无味 弃之可惜 - Too arduous to relish, too wasteful to discard.
Maybe yes, but most probably, maybe not.
I still have one as a backup for my primary KVM. It's stable. All of my Virmach shit has been incredibly stable.

Virmach is good, never had any trouble with their VPS line up, as long as I don't use it intensively.
