I just made Paypal dispute for two 20$ payments(add funds). Paypal refund my money without asking more questions, just after pressing "Send" button.
And now they want pay refunded money back with Bitcoins, or they close my services and account
The bitcoin part is a bit weird, but if you've done a PayPal dispute it is pretty normal for the provider to close your services and account.
Yes I know. I sent (add funds)September with CC over 30€ for renew a few of my 13 VPS. Money has taken from my CC, but newer seen at Virmach account. When I tried renew, there was not any credits for use. Because I had a few very nice performance/price VPS, I still tried to renew them. So, I add funds with Paypal. Unfortunately billing was a mess, there was cancelled VPS in same bill, so I can't pay only that one, what I like renew etc. And my support tickets from september are still unanswered. So I think it's better move out and backup my data asap. So I opened Paypal dispute and they refunded without asking any questions.
I was their client from 2015 and this is a sad situation, but unfortunately I can't trust them anymore.
"Some or all of your services have been suspended, pending account closure. Please contact your financial institution to resolve the matter or contact us to make a repayment via Bitcoin to restore your account, within 24 hours. Otherwise, all your services may be terminated, your account closed, and all data lost."
What a mess. I wonder what would happen if you did "contact them to make a repayment via Bitcoin" as a hypothetical exercise, I'm guessing they wouldn't reply to that either if your tickets from September are open. But would fully agree about backing up ASAP and moving on.
Maybe AI send link for payment? I think there's no anybody home at Virmach, AI generates replies for some tickets.
My account is still open and NY&NL&Dallas VPS online, They not closed my account after 24 hours.
virmach just updated its prime domain vps.cybermonday last month, so I guess he is plotting some surprise, though I have no interests due to its deteriorating uptime and have cancelled all VPS.
For those who still renew virmach's VPS, don't lose hope, maybe he will be back any time soon.
So you're thinking he's planning a Cyber Monday in July sale or something?
No, that's your clever thinking. I only stated facts: vir had time to update domain info, but haven't shown up since October to answer people's worries.
I have cancelled all my vir services and I respect other customers' decision.

Actually you said, "so I guess he is plotting some surprise" .. hence my question. But whatever, don't care enough....

SJCZ001 is offline.

I just paid the renewal bill a couple of days ago.
luckily even for $7 i chose not to renew SJC which is supposedly his most stable location
I bench YABS 24/7/365 unless it's a leap year.
ATLZ033 & SJCZ005B: offline
stay away from VIRMACH, trash
Maybe Paypal dispute will help.
Damn it, my 2 year bill paid with PayPal has already exceeded 180 days …… I wish Tokyo node can remain operational as long as possible.
Game over~!
New York is the most stable location (I think/thought).
is it offline already?

Even though my NYC has been rock solid for years, its time for it to go, no confidence that it will stay up for another 12 months.
Any good news from San Jose?
It is only a matter of time~
Still offline, it will remain like this now, it is gone!

Cancelled all my servers with VirMach, end of an era. Too much trouble & half of them have been offline for fuck knows how long.

MicroLXC is lovable. Uptime of C1V
Why do you assume it was updated? It could be just auto-renew.
Haven't bought a single service in VirMach Great Ryzen 2022 - 2023 Flash Sale.

Thanks for replying, but I'm sober enough to distinguish the differences in "auto-renew" among others, unless you can state more clearly.

what if its just a strategy to churn lowend customers and turn into a high-end service price?
