Does locale matter

I seek to enter specific parts of Europe hosting market (Norway, Sweden and France), do website / billing system translation matters?

  • As a Norwegian, I'd rather use English than incorrect translations. Same as I use my OS in English, my phone etc.

I believe for the most part English is preferable, with the odd parts of Wales and Scotland probably the exception haha

If you want to be cheap, just use English and no translations.

I’d just ensure the special characters associated with the language process fine. The amount of systems that can’t handle my name due to special characters is insane

I’ve literally missed a thousand dollar flight because even airlines can’t get that right

  • Only bother with translations if you actually have staff that can speak those languages; no point in having a multilingual website if your support melts down at the first Bonjour or God Morgen.
