Ban on Wetransfer in India- Alternative Services
This week, Government of India banned file sharing service WeTransfer citing 'security' reasons. I had written a post about services similar to wetransfer, and decided to update and republish the list given this ban. Thought of sharing the list - I have compiled it as a table, sharing the image below.
Which of the below services have you used? Are there any more relevant/ useful sites that I can include in the list below? ....cheers

Bizarre ban indeed. I think I shall set up FF send for a 'just-in-case' fallback.
I currently use a couple of seafile instances to let unregistered users upload to a password-protected dump 'folder'. The CE edition of Seafile can be squeezed onto a 1GB ram vps.

I usually use https://filetransfer.kpn.com/, by a Dutch telco. Files are encrypted and I guess the chances on a government blocking this is very small.
Try this https://uplovd.com 20 GB filesize limit and unlimited bandwidth.

Thanks, updated the list in the post. Also added Wesendit, Hightail (formerly Yousendit), and Telegram.

Quite a young boy (. Wouldn't put a lot trust into it yet.
I know some services which offered such great deals for file hosting but disappeared quite fast.
The domain was registered in March; Website is online since the beginning of May.
Although I'd still use it for non-personal, non-critical data. Great deal.
Any self hosting solutions apart from seafile, nextcloud ?
Pydio, projectsend are two options available. Also with softaculous ... but the latter I Found flaky

A couple other alternative I could think of are [I personally prefer curl cli supported hosts],
transfer.sh
bashupload.com
file.io
x0.at
uguu.se
That makes a good list... 20 odd alternatives! Thanks guys...

Ayy, well then that's cool. Thank you for clarifying!
I started developing whispa.app a while back now which has similar features :-) currently finishing off an app for it also due to not being able to use WeTransfer at work.
Nice. Will add to my list when you are ready
