    Not offered for this deal

  • I have a VZ7 box from this provider. The network is OK for US visitors, but very slow from China. CPU is throttled at 900MHz.
Not a bad service for this price level, but not premium.

China/Asia routing always problem at many provider located within EU etc. China optimized transit is not cheap.... Its expensive.
Not even possible to provide at any LowEnd budget. Interconnect costs etc.
You might look for some VPS nearby there. Maybe Signapore? And setup as CDN? I dont know.

Main customer base is from EU anyways

I didn’t buy this box for hosting website serving China. It was for s̶o̶f̶t̶w̶a̶r̶e̶ ̶d̶e̶v̶e̶l̶o̶p̶m̶e̶n̶t̶ idling.
But I did a download test when my father gave me remote access to his laptop …

So far, China routing works well only in Singapore and Los Angeles.

  • Asia China optimized
    Fixed that for ya.

Don't complain to providers here about slow routes to China. Complain to China Telecom for charging exorbitant fees to transit.

My father uses China Mobile broadband, not China Telecom.

I hear China providers charge “exorbitant fees” to nearby countries (Japan, South Korea, etc), but not North America. Thus, a website in Los Angeles is faster than a website in Tokyo.

  • Today I got a TeamViewer connection to my father's laptop, so I did traceroute to all my boxes.

China Mobile, Shanghai residential fiber service.

    • Hop 1~9: China Mobile mainland.
    • Hop 10~11: China Mobile Hong Kong.
    • Hop 12~15: Hurricane Electric, San Jose ✈️ New York ✈️ London ✈️ Amsterdam.

    Very funny route.

Dude, what is with you ?

Most of the providers here never stated "China Optimized" on their offerings, but you been spamming with all the post's with your traceroute's.

You already knew the transit issue with China. So why been bothering anyway.

I bought annual service on Black Friday, and it doesn't work… ?

You could've just tried the looking glass before ordering?

I see this a lot with China Mobile by the way, my ISP peers with them in Amsterdam. Looking at the RTT it's going through the US as well.
