Sign up and order via Tor and cryptocurrencies

Is there any provider allow signing up and order servers via Tor with cryptocurrencies? No phone or ID verification, or residential IP required.
Not asking about DMCA ignored providers, no illegal things related, no child porn or scam or phishing.

  • I can see many willing to do that for you, as long as you are fine with not getting what you order for.

Why would any of us want to risk their:

    • ip-reputation
    • systems integrity (ie it turns out that the "no XXX" thing was wrong)...we get a visit from the police..
    • ....

From a business sense it doesn't work out for most legitimate businesses.
What most of us can do is accept crypto via a Gateway or direct. There will probably be some sort of KYC involved.

One of the biggest problems that verifications tries to mitigate is chargebacks (which are usually common on paypal and credit card with hacked/stolen accounts) This means you can correctly match the owner of the paypal account or the credit card with the person who entered it for payment on the checkout page.

If you pay by cryptocurrency there is no option for charge backs which mitigates this big issue. Most providers (us included) dont actually mind too much your name, gender or where you are from (helps with marketing for some I guess?)

Second issue is abuse, but that being said most established providers have both reactive and proactive systems in place to detect and prevent abuse on their network.

tl;dr I imagine that a few providers would be probably ok with VPN/TOR Ip address and minimal details if invoices are paid via crypto. Just make sure you use an active email address that is monitored for communication

I agree. Most providers who do allow this only allow on higher plans like dedi, to reduce the risks. Another way is charge annually I think.

Is this purely for hiding your identity online?

Purely. But I'm not buying myself, for now.

I think a good strategy for providers regarding this, is probably requiring them to prepay for a few months.

There’s only one problem, if FBI comes knocking, shit goes south and if you, as a provider, get enough of those knocking, you can say bye bye to your business and get charged with Conspiracy.

Specially if you are knowingly accepting customers with falsified information.

Might work in countries where law is rather weak. Not everywhere.

There's illegal stuff here and there, and I believe very few of them get punished by law enforcement, just providers terminated their account.

Personally I have no issue if people sign up anonymously and follow the ToS. The issue is however that the vast majority of those that do sign up through tor/fake details are abusive and don't want their activities on the server traced back to them thus we are forced to be restrictive.
