    I'm using these

    9.9.9.10
    149.112.112.10
    2620:fe::10
    2620:fe::fe:10

    The lowest response time from my location.

  • Using the resolvers of a Swedish VPN-provider. (They have both v4&v6)

    46.227.67.134
    192.165.9.158

  • Using these the most

    1.1.1.1
    8.8.8.8

  • On my servers I usually rely on a combo of Cloudflare (1.1.1.1) + Google (8.8.8.8). I usually add Cloudflare IPv6 as the third option.

    For personal usage I rely on AdGuard Home and then Quad9/Cloudflare (in that order) as fallback.

    I should probably start using some IPv6 addresses in my resolv.conf as well, but seeing as providers randomly have issues with IPv6 connectivity, it'd probably be picked as a third option.

    Home stuff is 1.1.1.1 over DoH via pihole

    ...VPS not too fussed...whatever is the default.

  • Question: what's the point of DoH besides circumventing firewall restrictions, especially if one already have a VPN?

    The all seeing eye sees everything...

    nameserver 8.8.8.8
    nameserver 8.8.4.4

    Just because those are the first IPs that come up in my head when I am asked to enter DNS resolvers. I am trying to get myself to remember 1.1.1.1 as well.

    If IPv6 is present on server:
    nameserver 2001:4860:4860::8888
    nameserver 2001:4860:4860::8844

    So… what resolvers are your local dns servers using?

    Unbound can (and is generally used to) work as a recursive DNS server, not just forwarding. Probably that?
