Better antivirus to check user-uploaded files for viruses?

Hello,
I have a website where people upload files all the time, and I run ClamAV on them every time to check if there is any virus. However, I've noticed that ClamAV's quality is not the best, in fact, I had a user upload a xls file yesterday with a malicious script inside that wasn't picked up at all.

I tried uploading it on VirusTotal, and indeed it was picked up by many engines.

Is there a better AV software than ClamAV that can be used to check files on Linux? I don't need realtime protection, just a "please scan this file here" cli. Also, possibly no subscriptions, though I'd be more than happy to buy a software if the price is decent.
