(Quote) A German Provider might not be the best choice for private linux isos. That said, if they are encrypted and remain on your server, I guess they might be your private backups.

(Quote) Yeah haha :D

(Quote) There's still that old version of the plugin flying around where limits could be liftened by editing constants.php file. The memories..

(Quote) That's annoying😅🙃

(Quote) Hm, that's indeed odd. Have you tried the "lost purchase" link I posted above? Had to fill in my email I used for the purchase and received a new download link. Then you can download and manually install (not update) probably.

(Quote) Hm that's odd. I didn't use it for a long time but just tried to install it on a wp install I have and it worked without issues. Step 1: Install AIO WP Migration Public plugin from WP Store. Step 2: Upload Unlimited Extension: (Image) P…

(Quote) Oh, it's a provider

Performance depends on the host. Before lifetime anything do a thorough research of the host. Fwiw MyW lifetime performance was one of the best shared hostings I have used, sadly it ceased to exist. Zap Hosting offers lifetime webspace and has been …

(Quote) Thanks for the summary. Seems like Portainer isn't all too noble anymore, too.

(Quote) Seems like they're following the concept of UmbrelOS who also offer free software but try to push their hardware (that ships with their software). Tried CasaOS the other day (by Zimaspace team) and that one isn't commercialised (yet). Prett…

(Quote) Same here :S

Just wiped my Futro S740 Homeserver and looking to install CasaOS along with Debian 13 or Ubuntu 24. Will see what it's gonna be. I've been an Ubuntu person, but I might try Debian this time (should be very similar in performance).

(Quote) Thanks! Redeemed it :)

(Quote) The Dragon reminds me of @KuJoe company (forgot name, but similar logo).

(Quote) To be honest it's pretty awesome that our lifetime vps will get new hw (eventually) free of charge. I can wait a bit :P
-
(Quote) But it has the chance to get a newer cpu model, because unlike the the kvm products it hasn't a specific cpu in the description that is assigned to it.

Sooo, my (former) lxc vps got stuck during the migration/reinstall process to Ubuntu 24. Tried reinstalling various times before popping a ticket. That said, the support installed the VPS for me within a couple of hours, so props again to the quick …

(Quote) Apparently so (when reinstalling it showed "migrating to KVM" in the progress bar): (Image) Still waiting though: (Quote) Ah, thanks for the info :D Will enable it, too. Got some idlers :D FYI: Seems like locations now also …

Lol, just when I wanted to reinstall my LXC vps to get KVM. Did you guys enable Ballooning? What is it again? (Image)

Maybe I'll add another vps on Black Friday Sale to the collection :D After two years, my lxc now is at like 1,45€ish/mo (70€/48) and my KVM/Rootserver at 3,10€ish/mo (150€/48). Gets cheaper by the month. ROI is good on these vps
-
(Quote) Yup, that was also one of my reasons for LXC. But also got a KVM. New vps I buy will be lxc (or the equivalent with no fixed cpu, since all vps now will be kvm apparently).
-
(Quote) Unfortunately, didn't receive an upgrade notice (yet) for my rootserver, but I guess it's only the German LXC servers that get upgraded as they had no fixed cpu when ordering. My lxc is in Finland though :S But happy for you guys @zgato @sg…
-
(Quote) Fingers crossed. However, I'd assume the vps with no fixed cpu model (= former lxc) will be upgraded first as kvm vps were separated in standard/premium cpu with fixed models. Unfortunately, my lxc is in Finland and my KVM in Germany :D That…

(Quote) You can always try the free version of the software or the pro trial first to get an idea of how it works. I've been very happy with it. Until recently I didn't know that there was a Family Bundle now (let alone a lifetime version). Only fou…

(Quote) Sounds great :D Thanks for the update!
-
(Quote) For KVM VPS it shows the cpu model during order process (you can choose standard or "premium" cpu), for lxc not. Someone wrote they were gonna also move lxc to kvm, so maybe we'll soon have cpu info for all.

(Quote) Ryzen chips are gonna be nice :D Hopefully they'll make it to Lifetime deals. How many lifetime dedis do you have with them again?

Time flys. Congratz on the third anniversary :) Good luck going forward!

(Quote) That sounds like a good approach. I also thought about organising photos into albums after syncing to pcloud. Will just have to find out whether pcloud mobile client then will try to re-upload everything, because file is missing if I move it…

(Quote) Just checked, it's roughly 40-60 images per month (no wa images included as I just backup camera roll/DCIM). Damn, corrupted backups suck :/ Interesting messages with flowers😂🧐

(Quote) Damn, that sucks. Didn't run into this issue yet, but it's always what keeps me from encrypting more things on the cloud. What IF it gets corrupted..
