I just find a lot of things in DirectAdmin really frustrating at the minute, but, what I don't like others may be fine with. As you say, that will likely change and they are moving at a decent pace to improve as are providers like JetBackup to suppo…

(Quote) I think it will but at the same time there is opportunity for them to increase the price of SVM1, I can't remember if in the last, what, decade if it was ever lower than $10. It does seem likely they will now raise the price. Maybe not imm…

You definitely can use a DA personal licence just for DNS clustering? I am sure I bought the personal licences I have for that reason but can't see a definitive answer anywhere.

It certainly does feel a bit snappier but then that could just be the time of day for me.

I think most are in the same position. As a way to throw up a website and mail either is find, DirectAdmin is probably the easier of the two for that limited purpose. Anything beyond that people tend to gravitate towards cPanel, perhaps not least …

(Quote) I definitely agree with this, cPanel unless you already know it is way more complex albeit more feature-rich. But then for basic hosting needs, DirectAdmin wins in my view.

Kinda saddens me that the master/alpha reseller is now a thing on DirectAdmin.

What I have seen in my free service is this. Everyone who I invited to test in November/December last year, about 46 or so from a specific group, let's call them middle-class hosters were all happy enough with DA. Then I threw up cPanel this week …

(Quote) It's hard not to take notice of AMD right now though, especially for server use.

(Quote) Intel has handed AMD free market share increase as a result.

(Quote) I believe the difference is clear in that respect. With cPanel there were no alternatives, where were you going to go? DirectAdmin was the only real option, and it's still not a great option, the price makes it popular. People were going …

(Quote) I mean if everyone takes off their tin-foil hat (who am I kidding, its LEST after all) it is nothing more than marketing. Sure stay on SVM1 but we want you to migrate, why wouldn't we? or any other business if they were in the same position.

(Quote) From what I have seen in the news Americans think any side of the road is fine, even if there are children there. I will get my coat.

Sure, just sign up.

Will just stick with Cloudflare then, as I say it's fine for what I use it for, does not appear I am missing out on anything elsewhere.

(Quote) Seen that more than once, then there is a reactive rush to fix issues. Not a good approach.

(Quote) No, well yes. It costs me to obtain the service in any event but they are reseller accounts, not dedicated. Using only providers that apply account limits I am comfortable to stay within for the cost or upgrade as required. (Quote) Exactl…

Do love some of the stuff on StackSocial No, even though you say it is for 'all levels' you absolutely will not teach me how to draw that tiger like it is in the picture in just one hour. Even if I did happen to have just 6 pastel pencils lying ar…

In honesty, I don't use the bulk of the features either, it has just always been and easy to use. Don't mind the UI. I just noticed some different names being mentioned recently, clouddns and others, just wondered if I was missing out on something…

Saw this message on their site. (Quote)

Having played with it all a bit more in the last hour, actually quite impressed with what they have done. Looking forward to seeing it out there once released.
